Song Phu focuses on promoting the development of industry and handicrafts.

According to the Song Phu Commune Party Committee, during the 2020-2025 term, the commune focused on developing industry and small-scale handicrafts in a sustainable manner, in line with local potential.

Accordingly, the commune continues to call on businesses to invest in the Phu An-Phu Dien Industrial Cluster, covering an area of 139 hectares. It also collaborates in opening vocational training classes for approximately 400 rural workers, such as rattan weaving, garment manufacturing, and water hyacinth mat weaving, helping people earn an income of 2.5-4 million VND per month.

Implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, the entire commune has 13 recognized OCOP products, including compressed rice husk fuel from The Hien Company; grilled spring rolls from Truyen Oanh; and 9 fermented tofu and spice products from Thuan Duyen Food Co., Ltd., creating jobs for over 600 workers and contributing to raising people's income to 4-7 million VND/month. In 5 years, the commune also developed 19 more businesses, bringing the total to 69.

During the 2025-2030 term, the commune will continue to effectively implement Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on the development of the private economy ; promote the development of industry and handicrafts; and develop services and trade.

The commune aims to develop 150 new businesses, maintain the existing 13 OCOP products, and encourage businesses to upgrade their products when conditions permit; at the same time, it will effectively implement industrial promotion programs and have policies to invest in expanding industries, production, and business activities.
