Preparatory session of the First Congress of the Vinh Long Provincial Farmers' Association

On the afternoon of December 10th, the first Congress of the Vinh Long Provincial Farmers' Association, for the 2025-2030 term, held its preliminary session with the participation of 294 official delegates, representing more than 393,000 cadres and members throughout the province.

The preparatory session approved the program, rules, and regulations of the Congress; proceeded with the election of the Presidium, the Secretariat, and the Credentials Committee. Delegates heard a summary report of comments on the draft documents of the First Congress of the Vinh Long Provincial Farmers' Association, term 2025-2030; the draft documents of the higher level and the Association's Charter (amended and supplemented); and participated in discussions.

Delegates unanimously voted to approve the program, rules, and regulations governing the Congress's proceedings.

With the motto: "Unity - Democracy - Innovation - Cooperation - Development," the First Congress of the Vinh Long Provincial Farmers' Association, term 2025-2030, affirms the determination to build a clean and strong organization, truly a center of unity for the peasant class, promoting a proactive and creative spirit, contributing to the acceleration of industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas, and the socio-economic development of Vinh Long province in the new period.

During the official working session, the Congress will discuss and evaluate the achievements, shortcomings, and lessons learned from the implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Farmers' Association Congress for the 2023-2028 term (2023-2025 period). At the same time, it will forecast the advantages, difficulties, and challenges in the coming period. Based on this, the Congress will decide on the direction, objectives, and tasks for the 2025-2030 term.

The Congress also announced the decisions of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association regarding the appointment of the Provincial Farmers' Association Executive Committee for the first term, 2025-2020, and the appointment of delegates to attend the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Association.
