Survey on the development of craft village tourism and agricultural tourism in Vinh Long

On December 10th, a famtrip delegation from the Vietnam National Tourism Administration organized a survey program on the development of craft village tourism and agricultural and rural tourism in Vinh Long.

On December 10th, a famtrip delegation from the Vietnam National Tourism Administration organized a survey program on the development of craft village tourism and agricultural and rural tourism in Vinh Long .

Accordingly, the delegation, comprising leaders from the National Tourism Administration, travel businesses, and media agencies, visited the coconut candy and puffed rice cake making villages of Son Doc (Hung Nhượng commune); and the Cocohome coconut house tourist destination (An Binh commune) to learn about the rice flake making craft, observe a reenactment of the tofu skin making process, and coconut candy production. Afterwards, the delegation visited the ornamental flower village of Cho Lach (Cho Lach commune).

The survey team investigated the traditional craft of making puffed rice cakes in Son Doc.

The famtrip aims to survey and gather firsthand information about typical craft village tourism destinations in order to incorporate Vinh Long tourism into tour programs of domestic travel agencies. In addition, the program contributes to introducing and promoting the image of Vinh Long tourism to travel agencies, creating opportunities for networking and cooperation to develop tourism products under the theme "Vinh Long – A Land of Convergence," a safe, friendly, and high-quality destination.

To implement the task of "Supporting the development of rural tourism destinations" under the National Target Program for building new rural areas in 2025, which focuses on introducing and promoting destinations, connecting and promoting handicraft village tourism and agricultural and rural tourism activities, the Vietnam National Tourism Administration is implementing a number of activities related to handicraft village tourism in provinces and cities such as Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, and Can Tho City.

The survey team visited Cocohome Coconut House (An Binh commune).

Activities include research and surveys to develop a guidebook for craft village tourism development; producing a photo book titled "Vietnamese Craft Village Tourism – Traditional Heritage, Impressive Experiences"; organizing a survey program on the development of craft village tourism and agricultural and rural tourism for travel agencies and the press. Simultaneously, a scientific workshop will be organized on improving the quality and innovating craft village tourism products.
