From December 13-20, strong winds and high waves are forecast for the sea area off Vinh Long.

According to the Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, on December 11th, Vinh Long experienced cloudy weather with intermittent sunshine; rain occurred over approximately half of the province's area, concentrated in the late afternoon and evening in the areas of Long Chau, Tra On, Cai Nhum, Trung Thanh, Cai Von, Tieu Can, Cang Long, Tra Vinh, and Cho Lach.

From December 12th to 20th, the weather will generally be cloudy with light fog in the early morning, and mostly sunny during the day with almost no rain. Specifically from December 17th to 20th, temperatures will drop at night and in the early morning, resulting in cool to cold weather. Winds over land will mainly be easterly to northeasterly at speeds of 2-3 Beaufort, occasionally reaching 4 Beaufort in coastal areas. Rainfall is forecast to be approximately at the multi-year average; average temperatures will be higher than the multi-year average for the same period.

In the Vinh Long sea area, on December 11-12, the sky will be cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. From December 13-20, the cloud cover will be variable, with showers in some areas. On December 11-12 and 19-20, the wind will be East-Northeast at level 5, occasionally reaching level 6 offshore, causing rough seas. From December 13-18, the wind will gradually increase to level 5, occasionally reaching level 6, with gusts of level 7-8, causing very rough seas.

From December 14th to 20th, special precautions should be taken against strong winds and high waves in the South China Sea. Vessels operating at sea must continuously monitor weather warnings to ensure safety.

The Meteorological and Hydrological Station noted that low temperatures could affect the health of the elderly, those with weak immune systems, and those with underlying health conditions; it could also impact the growth of some crops and livestock. Unseasonal rains also risk disrupting salt production and saltwater aquaculture.
