Lieutenant Colonel Tran Xuan Dung, Head of the Logistics and Technical Department and Chairman of the Trade Union of Vocational College No. 4, said: “The ‘Excellent Worker, Creative Worker’ emulation movement is organized by the school’s Trade Union in all areas of activity, aiming to improve the effectiveness of vocational training; save costs and time, reduce labor; and ensure labor safety in the exploitation, use, repair, and maintenance of equipment and machinery. Through this, many scientific topics, initiatives, and technical improvements have been researched and effectively applied in practice.”

In 2025 alone, the school had 11 scientific research projects, initiatives, improvements, and self-made equipment approved and put into use by the school's scientific council. Many initiatives not only brought economic benefits but also contributed to improving the quality of vocational training for students.

Members of the Trade Union at Vocational College No. 4 introduced their initiative: "Smart Cold Storage Model with Remote Control and Monitoring".

A highlight of the movement is that the initiatives all stem from practical teaching, training, and daily professional tasks. Typical examples include the "Smart Cold Storage Model with Remote Control and Monitoring," which helps students increase their interest in learning the trade; hone their skills in installing and troubleshooting refrigeration equipment; and gain a firm grasp of operating principles in a visual way. Another example is the "Installation of a Single-Phase Water Pump Motor Control System with 4 Modes" model, which allows learners to easily observe, connect, and operate control circuits with a realistic simulation structure.

In the field of management, many initiatives focus on applying information technology and improving work processes. A typical example is the "Student Vehicle Management and Monitoring Portal" initiative, which contributes to optimizing the process of controlling vehicle entry and exit, managing study hours, and enhancing security and order in schools.

Beyond its effectiveness in training, management, technology, and economics, the innovation movement has also brought about significant changes in the awareness and sense of responsibility of faculty, staff, and employees. From being hesitant and uncertain about scientific research, many union members have boldly proposed ideas, actively learned and exchanged experiences, and gradually formed a scientific and creative work style.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of Vocational College No. 4, promoting the role of the trade union in the innovation movement is the right and effective approach. Many technical improvements have helped the school improve the quality of training, save costs, and better meet the requirements of the new situation.

The success of the "Excellent Worker, Creative Worker" emulation movement at Vocational College No. 4 not only created a vibrant atmosphere of labor and creativity but also unleashed the potential and intelligence of the workers, creating a combined strength for the school to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
