Speaking to the press, Journalist Phung Cong Suong affirmed that the difference of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest is that it has three leading units: the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Ministry of Education and Training. The contest's idea is to focus on four pillars: Beauty - Culture - Intelligence - Dedication. These pillars also answer the question about the purpose of participating in the beauty contest. In addition, the Organizing Committee's expectation is to create unique and different values for the number 1 beauty contest in Vietnam.
"The Miss Vietnam contest is the only beauty contest organized by a prestigious newspaper, the mouthpiece of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. This is the decisive difference that makes the Miss Vietnam contest different from other beauty contests. The next difference is that we have a plan to establish a panel of judges with expertise and prestige to meet the set criteria. We also have a new director, creating a new breeze for the contest. This is the first time we have boldly proposed 4 criteria for the new Miss: Beauty - Culture - Intelligence - Dedication. From those criteria, we want to prove that Miss Vietnam is the only, outstanding and exclusive contest," said journalist Phung Cong Suong.
Journalist Phung Cong Suong affirmed that Miss Vietnam is a rare contest held in 3 regions of the country, as well as being closely linked to the country's important milestones, closely following the tasks and goals of the country and locality. For the first time, the final night was held in the centrally-run city of Thua Thien - Hue. We set a goal that this is not simply a contest, but we hope that the place where the contest passes through must be closely linked to the beauty and cultural values of that locality.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province affirmed that the locality has high expectations for the contest. Hue is having new opportunities, new face, is a land that is rising, rising, meeting the expectations of the people of the whole country. Hue is a land rich in culture and those cultural values need to be preserved and promoted. The Miss Vietnam contest in 2024 has many innovations. Organizing it in Hue is also a new feature. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh affirmed that the Organizing Committee and local leaders had many thorough discussions, expecting that this would not only be a beauty contest but also demonstrate the culture, values, and beauty of Vietnamese women. The contest will have many activities associated with Hue's traditional culture such as Hue Tet, Hue cuisine, Ao Dai and traditional costume performances, interacting with the lives of Hue people, and visiting craft villages. The leaders of the Thua Thien - Hue Provincial People's Committee hope that the content of the contest will spread traditional cultural values, creating momentum to highlight Hue Festival 2025, the National Tourism Year 2025 event hosted by Hue. These events contribute to the development of the cultural industry, creating many products to serve tourists, and creating conditions for socio-economic development.

The Miss Vietnam 2024 pageant will start from universities in the three regions of the North - Central - South from January 2025. First held in 1988, after more than 35 years, 18 beauties from all three regions of the country have been crowned Miss Vietnam. With crowns on their heads and scepters in their hands, Miss Vietnam embodies humanistic values, inspiring and spreading good values in social life.

They are: Miss Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy, crowned Miss International 2024, one of the three largest beauty contests in the world along with Miss Universe and Miss World, Miss Vietnam 2022 is also the first Miss Vietnam to be crowned in an international beauty contest. Miss Do Thi Ha - top 13 of Miss World 2021, this is the highest achievement that a Miss Vietnam has achieved in the Miss World arena. Miss Tran Tieu Vy - top 30 of Miss World 2018 and top 3 of the Charity Project. Miss Do My Linh - top 40 of Miss World 2017, Miss World Charity 2017, this is also the first time a Vietnamese beauty representative has won the Charity award at the Miss World contest. Miss Mai Phuong Thuy - top 17 of Miss World 2006. Miss Nguyen Thi Huyen - top 15 of Miss World 2004. Miss Pham Thi Mai Phuong - top 20 of Miss World 2002. Miss Vietnam 2002 is also the first Vietnamese beauty representative to participate in the Miss World contest.
