Speaking at the working program, Mr. Na Ki Hong expressed the Group's deep sympathy for the severe damage caused by natural disasters in Thai Nguyen province, and highly appreciated the work of overcoming the consequences and restoring post-disaster activities in Thai Nguyen. The General Director of Samsung Vietnam also emphasized that Samsung Vietnam's factories in Thai Nguyen as well as many FDI enterprises operating in industrial parks and industrial clusters of Thai Nguyen were not directly affected by natural disasters. The Group's leaders were very impressed by this, because it showed the long-term strategic planning vision for local industrial development, which will also deepen the confidence of FDI investors in Thai Nguyen.

Mr. Na Ki Hong expressed his deep condolences for the heavy damage caused by natural disasters in Thai Nguyen province.

Mr. Na Ki Hong affirmed that Thai Nguyen has a special position in Samsung's development strategy. After more than 10 years of investment, Samsung Thai Nguyen Complex (SEVT) has become the largest mobile phone manufacturing base in the world, making an important contribution to Vietnam's export turnover. The results achieved are thanks to the strong support and companionship of the Vietnamese Government and the attention and facilitation of the Party Committee, government and people of Thai Nguyen province.

At the working program, the leaders of Samsung Vietnam Group donated 2.5 billion VND to support Thai Nguyen in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. This amount is part of Samsung Vietnam's support commitment to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; SEVT donated 500 million VND contributed by SEVT's staff and employees, joining hands with the locality to overcome the consequences of floods.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong sincerely thanked Samsung Group for its attention, sharing and timely support for Thai Nguyen province. The Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that the support resources will be used for the right purpose and effectively to soon help people stabilize their lives and restore production. He emphasized that during 30 years of presence in Vietnam and 12 years of presence in Thai Nguyen, Samsung has made very important contributions to the development of Vietnam in general and Thai Nguyen province in particular. For Thai Nguyen province, SEVT has not only recorded positive growth, thereby contributing to the local budget, creating jobs for workers, but also actively accompanied the province in implementing meaningful social security activities. The Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that Thai Nguyen will always actively accompany the Group in the development process, considering the Group's development as the development of the locality to have the most responsibility and effective support.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee sincerely thanked the sentiment, sense of responsibility and sharing of the business community. At the same time, he emphasized that the contributions of businesses not only have material value but also demonstrate the courage, affection and spirit of accompanying the government and people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. This is a vivid manifestation of the spirit of "Thai Nguyen businesses for the community", a solid foundation for the locality to soon overcome difficulties, restore production and stabilize people's lives.
On the same day, many localities, units, businesses and organizations inside and outside the province came to support Thai Nguyen province to overcome the consequences of storms and floods and directly gave gifts to affected people in localities in the province.
