The program aims to evaluate the potential and strengths of mountainous localities in forming and developing unique tourism products associated with ethnic community culture, ecology and agricultural tourism, thereby creating a foundation for building regional linkage products between Gia Lai - Quang Ngai, promoting sustainable tourism development in the Central Highlands - Central Coast region.

 The delegation included representatives from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism , travel agencies and press agencies. The journey departed from Pleiku City (Gia Lai) to Quang Ngai, lasting 6 days and 5 nights with many activities of survey, experience and cultural exchange.
In Quang Ngai, the delegation surveyed prominent tourist attractions in Kon Tum ward such as the Wooden Church - a unique construction made of cajeput wood, a distinctive cultural and religious symbol of Kon Tum; Kon Tum Bishop's Palace where many valuable artifacts and documents on missionary work and Central Highlands culture are preserved; Kon Tum Prison relic where revolutionary soldiers were detained during the French colonial period; Hue Chieu Pagoda stands out with its traditional Vietnamese architecture mixed with Central Highlands features.

 During the trip in Quang Ngai, the delegation also surveyed Siu Puong Waterfall; Ngoc Linh Ginseng Garden; A Biu Community Tourism Site of the Ba Na People; Le Vang Community Tourism Village of the Xo Dang People; Dak Rang Community Tourism Village of the Gie - Trieng People; Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia Friendship Cultural House; Bo Y International Border Gate; Chu Mon Ray National Park. The delegation also attended the gong exchange program at Kon Trang Long Loi Village, learning about the cultural and religious life of local ethnic minorities...
In Gia Lai, the delegation surveyed typical destinations such as K50 Waterfall (Kon Chu Rang Nature Reserve) - one of the most majestic waterfalls in the Central Highlands; Stor village (homeland of Hero Nup); Mo Hra community tourism village and Ia Nueng village with communal house space, gongs and traditional activities of the Jrai people.

 In addition, the delegation also surveyed famous tourist attractions of Gia Lai such as T'Nung Lake, Chu Dang Ya volcano, Ia Ly hydroelectric power plant, Buu Minh pagoda and Dai Doan Ket Square - where the largest bronze statue of Uncle Ho in Vietnam is located...
Through the program, experts, managers and tourism businesses have had a basis to comprehensively assess the potential of the mountainous region of the Northern Central Highlands and the midland of Quang Ngai in developing community tourism products, especially eco-cultural-agricultural experiential tourism.

 Community tourism models of ethnic minorities such as A Biu, Le Vang (Quang Ngai), Mo Hra - Ia Nueng (Gia Lai) are recognized as bright spots, demonstrating the connection between preserving cultural identity and the livelihood of local people. Exploiting the heritage of the Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space combined with majestic natural landscapes, cool climate, typical cuisine... is considered a suitable direction to form unique tourism products for ethnic minorities and mountainous areas here.
The survey program on developing specific tourism products for ethnic minority and mountainous areas in Gia Lai - Quang Ngai not only contributes to clarifying the potential and advantages of regional tourism but also affirms the commitment of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in accompanying localities in developing tourism associated with cultural preservation, promoting national identity values, towards the goal of building Vietnam into a green, attractive and sustainable destination.
