Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2025: Spreading Vietnamese identity

After 4 years of organization, the Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival has become an annual cultural meeting point, attracting thousands of participants. Each year, the program writes a new story about the shining journey of heritage in contemporary life, contributing to nurturing national pride and love for Vietnamese Ao Dai.

According to the Organizing Committee, the 2025 Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival is elaborately staged, combining tradition and modernity, promising to bring a colorful cultural space and unforgettable experiences. The entire festival space is decorated with flags, lights, welcome gates and artistic miniatures inspired by the autumn colors of Hanoi.

Highlights of the Festival include: The Opening Ceremony and a special art program with the theme “Hanoi Ao Dai – Shining the Essence of Heritage” on the evening of November 7. This will be an art night connecting Hanoi with the whole country with the graceful Ao Dai, soft as silk, durable as the soul of the nation. The program brings together famous artisans, designers, models and artists, bringing elaborately staged performances.

Along with the main activities, the Festival also offers a series of unique traditional art programs, honoring the value of intangible heritage through genres such as ca tru, cheo, quan ho, xam... Visitors can join the "Touch Autumn Hanoi" experience tour by double-decker bus, or admire the creative designs in the "Ao Dai - Connecting Heritage" contest.

According to Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Nguyen Tran Quang, through the Ao Dai Tourism Festival, Hanoi City affirms its orientation to build tourism products associated with culture, making Ao Dai a symbol of Hanoi tourism identity, while promoting the participation of the community, artisans and businesses in the work of preserving and promoting Vietnamese cultural values ​​in the new era.
