Continued successful rescue of 3 cases trapped by flood water in Hieu Giang commune

QTO - On the afternoon of November 4, Hieu Giang Commune Police, Quang Tri Province informed that the unit had just coordinated with the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH), Provincial Police to rescue 3 cases trapped by floodwaters in the Melaleuca forest area.

Previously, at around 11am the same day, people reported that at the underground spillway No. 1 at Km27 in the border area between Hieu Giang and Huong Hiep communes, 3 citizens from Nghe An were trapped by rising floodwaters that cut off and caused landslides, making it impossible to move out.

Immediately afterwards, Hieu Giang Commune Police reported and requested the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to coordinate in deploying forces to the scene.

After nearly 2 hours of effort, by early afternoon of the same day, the units had brought 3 people and 4 motorbikes out of the dangerous area, ensuring absolute safety of people and property.

Previously, on the evening of November 3, also due to heavy rain, the water level of Hieu River through Hieu Giang commune rose, causing 7 people to be trapped in the floodwaters. They were safely rescued by Hieu Giang Commune Police in coordination with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department.
