Projects that change the face of the countryside

QTO - With the support resources of the State, programs, and the cooperation of the social community and people, in 2025, the mountainous communes of Minh Hoa district (old) have deployed and completed many important construction projects. The projects not only contribute to promoting socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security, but also contribute to changing the face of the villages on the journey of building new rural areas.

Turn spontaneous trails into highways

In 2025, Tan Thanh commune has completed two major roads, including: Hoa Thanh road project connecting National Highway 12A. This is a road that passes through many residential areas in the commune, with a total investment of up to 15 billion VND from the provincial budget. The road is 6.5m wide (road surface is 5.5m wide), 1,200m long. This road was started in August 2024 and completed in August 2025, 4 months ahead of schedule compared to the original plan. When put into use, the road has helped people travel more conveniently, ensuring traffic safety, creating momentum for socio-economic development in the area.

Another road with a total investment of 8 billion VND from the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period (Phase 1: From 2021-2025) in Tan Thanh Commune is also about to be completed by the end of 2025. That is the Hoa Tien road project to Yen Van village. The road is 840m long, the roadbed is 9m wide, of which the road surface is 7m wide, passing through the commune center. Up to now, over 90% of the progress has been completed.

Mr. Dinh Van Ly, a resident of Yen Van village, Tan Thanh commune, said: “Previously, these roads were just small concrete roads, built a long time ago and were degraded, cramped, or trails opened by people themselves. Therefore, every time there was a vehicle carrying materials for house construction, construction works, or two cars going in opposite directions on the road, there was often a traffic jam, hindering other vehicles from moving. So when these roads were invested in and renovated, people were very excited, many people even volunteered to donate land and demolish their property to facilitate the construction.”

In the past 5 years, Tan Thanh commune has mobilized 44 billion VND to build new rural areas. This capital, combined with other capital sources, has helped the locality invest in building many important traffic projects, schools, medical facilities, etc. Chairman of Tan Thanh Commune People's Committee Dinh Van Chinh said: "Implementing the National Target Program on building new rural areas, traffic criteria in the commune have been given attention and invested in quite synchronously. The completed projects have brought joy and happiness to the people, promoted socio-economic development, and changed the face of the countryside."

Complete infrastructure, trade connection

With the support capital from the province, in 2023, the People's Committee of Minh Hoa district (old) deployed the construction of Tan Ly bridge in Tan Ly village, Kim Phu commune. This is a flood-crossing bridge over Rao Nay river, with a total investment of 29 billion VND. The total length of the project is 550m, of which 4 spans are 135m long, the rest are roads at both ends of the bridge. As expected, the project will be completed by the end of 2025, but with the efforts of the investor and the construction unit, Tan Ly bridge was completed early in April 2025.

Mr. Truong Quoc Dat, Kim Bang village 3, Kim Phu commune, shared: "Before Tan Ly bridge, in the rainy season, the river water rose high and flooded the spillway, cutting off all 4 Kim Bang villages from the outside. Since Tan Ly bridge was built, people have been able to travel, produce, and live during the flood season more conveniently, so everyone is excited." Tan Ly bridge is located on provincial road 559B, connecting from National Highway 12A to Tuyen Hoa commune, also helping to connect trade and commerce, especially tourism development, contributing to improving and improving traffic criteria in building new rural areas in many localities.

In Minh Hoa commune, 3 traffic works with large investment capital have been and are being completed in 2025. Of which, the Hong Hoa-Yen Hoa-Quy Dat road project (phase 1) has a total investment of 100 billion VND, invested by the People's Committee of Minh Hoa district (old). This project has a total route length of more than 7km, a road surface width of 5.5m and 2 new bridges built in residential group 2 and residential group 9, each bridge length is 77.15m, the total width is 11.5m. The project started in February 2022, constructed by Tien Phong General Construction Company Limited, and has completed 92% of the progress to date.

Director of the Minh Hoa Project Management and Land Fund Development Board Doan Phuc Hanh said: “In 2025, the unit has implemented and completed dozens of projects. Of which, many projects met and exceeded construction progress. Some projects were constructed quickly, but have not been completed yet due to prolonged rainy weather. If the weather is favorable, we will ask the construction unit to focus on completing the projects on schedule."

The project of the intersection road of residential group 2, old Quy Dat town (now Minh Hoa commune) with an investment capital of 22 billion VND from the provincial budget has also been basically completed, becoming one of the most beautiful roads in the commune. The road is designed in two directions, 840m long, 24m wide including the roadbed and road surface. In addition, in Minh Hoa commune, there is also a rural traffic route connecting Yen Hoa intersection to Yen Binh village, which has completed over 90% of the progress. The length of the road is nearly 3km, the roadbed is 10.5m wide, the road surface is 7.5m wide, with a total investment of 22 billion VND from the provincial budget.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Minh Hoa Commune Party Committee Dinh Tuan Anh said: "Key traffic works in the area invested in, built and put into operation in 2025 will not only help people travel conveniently, but also contribute to completing traffic infrastructure in building new rural areas, promoting socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, connecting trade, shortening travel time, and limiting traffic congestion."
