Da Nang seeks solutions to attract CIS tourist market

DNO - On the morning of October 17, within the framework of the Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a workshop to seek solutions to attract the market of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first 9 months of 2025, Da Nang welcomed 14.4 million overnight guests, an increase of more than 22% over the same period; of which international visitors reached 5.8 million, an increase of over 31%.

The CIS market alone (mainly Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan...) reached more than 250 thousand visitors, accounting for 4.17% of the structure of international visitors to Da Nang .

By 2025, direct charter flights from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will be put into operation, with a total frequency of 16 flights/week; contributing to facilitating tourists and promoting growth from this market.

Speaking at the workshop, Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Nguyen Trung Khanh highly appreciated Da Nang's efforts in expanding and maintaining the CIS tourist market in recent times.

The CIS market not only brings quality customers with long stays but also contributes to diversifying the structure of international visitors to Vietnam.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will continue to accompany and support localities, including Da Nang, in promoting destinations, connecting airlines and promoting cooperation with strategic partners in the CIS region; aiming for sustainable growth in 2026 and the following years.

At the workshop, managers and travel businesses proposed many solutions to attract the CIS market in the coming time such as: developing products and services suitable to tourists' tastes; expanding direct flight routes between Da Nang and CIS countries; promoting Da Nang tourism image on international media channels.

On this occasion, the Danang Tourism Promotion Center and Yango Ads Vietnam (operating in the field of advertising technology) signed a cooperation agreement in promoting destinations. This agreement aims to apply modern advertising data and technology, to enhance the visibility of Danang's image to tourists in the CIS region.
