On May 21, in Da Nang , Samsung Vietnam and the Vietnamese Youth Success Organization (JA Vietnam) continued to launch the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025 competition in the Central region.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Na Ki Hong, General Director of Samsung Vietnam, said that training and nurturing talent is the most important problem of the country. In particular, training technology talent is the key for each country to join the ranks of developed countries around the world .
“In addition to economic contributions, Samsung hopes to contribute to enhancing Vietnam's fundamental competitiveness through nurturing technological talent, and more broadly, joining hands to nurture Vietnam's future leaders,” Mr. Na Ki Hong emphasized.
Assessing Samsung's efforts over the years, Ms. Le Thi Bich Thuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City, said that Solve for Tomorrow has become a useful, modern and inspiring playground for Vietnamese students in general and Da Nang students in particular.
In recent years, the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition has always received active participation from students in Da Nang in particular and the Central provinces in general. In 2024, this region recorded nearly 600 entries from more than 2,500 students and teachers. Many teams achieved impressive results: 11 teams entered the Top 40 nationwide, 5 teams entered the Final round and especially 1 team won First Prize in the High School category and 1 team won Second Prize in the Middle School category.
This year, the program aims to reach about 50,000 students in the Central region through a series of roadshows, training and communication activities at schools.
Previously, Solve for Tomorrow 2025 was launched in Hanoi at the end of March 2025 and will conclude the roadshow series in Ho Chi Minh City at the end of May 2025.

Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is an annual competition for middle and high school students, encouraging them to proactively apply STEM knowledge, artificial intelligence (AI) and design thinking to propose technological solutions to solve social problems.
Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025 lasts 8 months, from March 28 to October 31, 2025, divided into two competition groups for middle school and high school, with 3 rounds from idea to product development and presentation.
The competition is expected to attract about 160,000 students to register for online courses and receive 2,400 entries from schools across the country. The total prize value is up to nearly 6 billion VND. In particular, schools with teams winning first prize will be sponsored to build a STEM Lab worth 60,000 USD.
Contestants will choose one of three topics: Sustainable environmental development through technology; Combining sports and technology towards education and future development; and Applying technology to develop a sustainable society.
In Vietnam, the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition was first held in 2019. Up to now, the competition has become an annual creative thinking playground for middle and high school students aged 12 to 18.
By the end of 2024, the program had attracted nearly 480,000 students and teachers to register, receiving nearly 7,500 entries.
