Positive turning point
Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet believes that she is a perfectionist and meticulous in everything because more than 15 years of working and growing up in the financial field forced her to follow principles and respect discipline and regulations. Her career operates according to available plans to minimize risks for customers and the company.
In early 2020, Ms. Tuyet left Da Nang City for Ho Chi Minh City with the desire to challenge herself in a more dynamic and somewhat harsh environment. Less than a month after she arrived, the COVID-19 pandemic began to rage, lockdown orders were issued everywhere, causing almost all production and business activities to be suspended.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet felt helpless and helpless in a city full of strangers. The rented room was cramped, and she had to live alone for a long time, something she had never experienced before. She began to worry and feel uneasy with negative thoughts.
"I think the immediate problem is to be busier because when I'm free, my mind will wander. When I surf social networks, I'm attracted to embroidering, the colorful yarns, the cute and simple shapes have aroused my desire to create. Then I ordered the tools myself, sat for hours continuously to learn how to embroider through the internet. Gradually, the first products were completed" - Ms. Tuyet said.

When surfing social networks, I was attracted by embroidery, colorful yarns, cute and rustic shapes that aroused my creative desire.

She took pictures and videos of the products she made, posted them on her personal social media page, and sent the products to friends and relatives. She received positive feedback and compliments for her dexterity and creativity. From then on, Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet was motivated to focus on this professional work. Her life improved when, through the art of embossed embroidery, she seemed to find her true self, a gentle self, at peace with work, not rigid with financial numbers.

Quiet... to love
When the COVID-19 pandemic subsided in 2022, Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet returned to Quang Nam , choosing Hoi An as the place to start her business because this place has an environment for handmade products and people who love it. She opened Yen.Studio, specializing in organizing workshops to share and guide students on how to embroider and create the desired products in a simple way.

At first, her workshop had few participants because this subject was still quite new and in the eyes of many young people, it was quite boring and not as attractive as surfing social networks or playing games on the computer.
From sessions with only 1-2 customers, the value of this workshop gradually spread. Many of her customers commented that the result was not in the final product - what was embroidered, but in the state of being while embroidering, when being attentive and focused helped them calm down and relax.

A guest of Yen.Studio shared: "The digital age and the fast pace of life today make it difficult for people to sit still for long enough. Being busy with this and thinking about that, I often get stressed out by the little things. When I join Yen.Studio's workshop, I find myself slowing down, focusing on doing one thing to focus my mind more. From then on, I feel lighter, cherishing the moments of living with my inner self more."

In addition to organizing workshops once a week, Ms. Tuyet is also invited by travel agencies, restaurants, and hotels to organize tours to experience the art of embossed embroidery for tourists. The places Ms. Tuyet chooses to share with customers are mostly open spaces, sometimes an airy cafe, sometimes a lawn by the river or on a sunny rooftop.
Coming to Yen.Studio means finding two things: peace and love. Love yourself, love the present moment and love everything around you.

"Recognized as a provincial startup project in 2023, Yen.Studio sees this as a great motivation for further development. In the near future, in addition to the embossed embroidery subject, we will organize other experiences related to Quang Nam culture, such as making lanterns, clay modeling... This will help Yen.Studio reach more customers, helping them have more interesting experiences" - Ms. Tuyet said.
