Unleash the power of national unity, build a strong, prosperous and happy country

Entering the 2025-2030 period, the Vietnam Fatherland Front continues to affirm its central role in promoting the strength of great national unity in the cause of national construction and defense.

Firmly upholding the goals and guidelines of innovation, the Front always accompanies the Party and State, contributing to strengthening people's trust and arousing aspirations for developing a strong, prosperous and happy country in the new era.

The 2020-2025 period is a challenging time, as our country struggles to fight the Covid-19 pandemic, face negative impacts from natural disasters, climate change as well as complex impacts of the international situation. In the final year of the 13th term, the entire Party resolutely carried out the revolution of streamlining the organizational apparatus on an unprecedented scale, initially achieving encouraging results.

With the flexible leadership, courage and intelligence of the Party, the strength of Vietnamese national unity, with the Fatherland Front as the center, has once again shone, leaving special marks. The Politburo's issuance of Decision No. 245-QD/TW dated January 24, 2025, establishing the Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central mass organizations is an important turning point, unifying the leadership of the Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State, overcoming the fragmentation, improving the effectiveness of overall leadership and direction and coordination activities.

In a short time, the Party Committee established and consolidated Party committees at 25 affiliated Party organizations. From here, Party building work in the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central organizations was deployed synchronously. In particular, the work of streamlining the apparatus achieved remarkable results, reducing 125 focal points (equivalent to 55.98%), reducing 535 positions (19.67%) associated with improving the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.

On that basis, the Fatherland Front and organizations have organized many large movements and campaigns, spreading strongly in social life, typically the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". Up to now, 78% of communes nationwide have met new rural standards. Throughout the country, thousands of households have voluntarily donated land, contributed thousands of billions of VND, millions of working days to build roads, build schools, cultural houses, welfare works, clean up the environment, and create rural and urban landscapes. These are vivid numbers and images, proof of the spirit of self-awareness and consensus for the community.

Along with that, the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" has been widely deployed, creating momentum for domestic production. More than 12 thousand OCOP products have been recognized, affirming the prestige, quality of Vietnamese goods and national pride. The campaign "For the poor - No one is left behind" successfully mobilizes thousands of billions of VND each year, becoming an effective resource, helping millions of poor households stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably. The movement "Creative solidarity" has encouraged and inspired innovation and initiatives among the people.

Another highlight in the picture of great national unity of the Front during the past term is social security work. In just 5 years, the Front system has mobilized the construction and repair of more than 180,000 Great Unity houses so that hundreds of thousands of families in difficult circumstances have solid and stable housing. The construction and handover of more than 5,000 spacious houses in Dien Bien province was assessed by the Politburo as a "bright spot", strongly affirming the spirit of "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", further deepening the noble human values ​​in the new era.

In just 5 years, the Front system has mobilized the construction and repair of more than 180,000 Great Solidarity houses so that hundreds of thousands of families in difficult circumstances have solid and stable housing. The construction and handover of more than 5,000 spacious houses in Dien Bien province was assessed by the Politburo as a "bright spot", strongly affirming the spirit of "the rich help the poor", further deepening the noble human values ​​in the new era.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Front has played a central role in gathering and mobilizing resources and support from the whole society. More than 23 trillion VND has been donated to the Vaccine Fund, purchasing medical equipment and necessities. Tens of millions of meals and gifts have been promptly delivered to workers, poor households and vulnerable people. From "Community Covid Teams" to volunteer groups, religious people, artists... all gathered under the common roof of the Front, creating a strong "people's shield" against the pandemic.

In the face of the severe consequences of storm No. 3 in 2024, more than 2,675 billion VND was mobilized and quickly shared with 26 northern provinces and cities. This is also the first time the Central Relief Fund has publicly disclosed the entire allocation of relief resources, clearly demonstrating the spirit of transparency, responsibility, and strengthening people's trust. Recently, the Front's flag continued to mobilize more than 400 billion VND to support the Cuban people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic relations, deepening the traditional, loyal, and affectionate relationship between the two countries.

At the same time, social supervision and criticism work has been deployed synchronously and increasingly substantively. The entire Front system has conducted 231 thousand supervisions, including 31 central-level thematic supervision delegations. The content of the supervisions focuses on many issues that people are interested in such as land management and use, budget revenue and expenditure, supervision of leaders' responsibilities, key projects, environmental protection, social security, personnel work, etc. Social criticism activities have achieved many positive results with nearly 86 thousand sessions. From here, many practical suggestions from people have been received and applied to the work of perfecting policies and laws.

In the election of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, the role of the Front was clearly demonstrated. More than 103,000 consultation conferences were organized, introducing 205 candidates for the National Assembly. More than 96,000 voter contact conferences were held, creating conditions for candidates to exercise their right to campaign. The voter turnout rate reached over 99%, turning the election day into a great festival for all people. People's foreign affairs activities left many marks. The work of overseas Vietnamese is increasingly focused, clearly demonstrating the expansion of the great national solidarity bloc beyond borders, towards a global vision.

Regarding Party building work, Party committees at all levels have implemented synchronously, with focus and key points, especially political, ideological, ethical education, learning, grasping, concretizing and organizing the implementation of the Central Committee's resolutions and conclusions, contributing to improving political capacity, awareness of self-cultivation, training and ideological "resistance" for cadres and Party members. The Party organization system has been consolidated and synchronized, clearly promoting the central political role in each agency and organization, overcoming the situation of dispersion and overlap in leadership and direction. The leadership methods of Party committees at all levels continue to be innovated towards democracy, publicity and efficiency; applying information technology in Party management and activities...

The above achievements are the crystallization of the Party's correct leadership, the close coordination of the State, the efforts of the entire political system, especially the consensus and joint efforts of the people. Thereby, the central and core role of the Fatherland Front in the great national unity bloc is strongly affirmed. That is the foundation and resource to enter a new stage of development, a stage that awakens the aspiration to develop a strong, prosperous and happy country.

With the spirit of "Solidarity-Democracy-Innovation-Creativity-Development", the Front needs to continue to innovate its thinking and methods of operation; strengthen the gathering and promotion of people's strength; improve the quality of supervision and criticism; promote its role in preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; promote people-to-people diplomacy activities, and build an image of Vietnam as a peace-loving, responsible and loyal country.

In the period of 2025-2030, the tasks set for the Fatherland Front are extremely heavy but also very glorious. With the spirit of "Solidarity-Democracy-Innovation-Creativity-Development", the Front needs to continue to innovate its thinking and methods of operation; strengthen the gathering and promotion of people's strength; improve the quality of supervision and criticism; promote its role in preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; promote people-to-people diplomacy, build an image of Vietnam as a peace-loving, responsible and loyal country.

The new organizational apparatus has been put into operation, especially the implementation of the two-level local government model. The activities of the Fatherland Front at all levels, the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, and central organizations must also be constantly innovated with the motto of focusing on the grassroots, taking the people as the center, and the Front cadres as the bridge to contribute to the strength of the Party's will and the people's hearts.

The 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations, term 2025-2030, set the action goal of "Building a clean and strong Party Committee; strongly innovating thinking and leadership methods; gathering and mobilizing people of all walks of life to promote democracy and the strength of great national unity, joining hands, entering the era of developing a rich, prosperous, civilized and happy country". Thereby, emphasizing the role of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations: a symbol of trust, a place where people's sentiments, intelligence and responsibility towards the Party, State and regime converge.

The achievements during the past term affirm the invincible strength of the great national unity bloc under the leadership of the Party. Entering the new era, with the spirit of "Solidarity-Democracy-Innovation-Creativity-Development", the entire Party is determined to build a clean and strong apparatus; promote the central role of solidarity and social consensus; spread good values, arouse the desire for development, gather all resources, join hands to bring the country into an era of prosperity, civilization and happiness.
