Prosperity from new rural construction

Constantly innovating, creating, improving the quality and efficiency of operations, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Ha Giang province has promoted the implementation of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", attracting and gathering a large number of people from all walks of life to participate, contributing to the successful implementation of local political tasks.

Accordingly, the Fatherland Front of Ha Giang province has coordinated with agencies and units to organize a survey to assess people's satisfaction with the results of new rural construction in Huu San, Dong Thanh, Dong Tam, and Bang Hanh communes of Bac Quang district.

For example, in Dong Tam commune (Bac Quang district), the most obvious changes from the construction of the new rural areas are that the roads leading to the commune center have been expanded, concreted, cleaned, beautifully and installed with lighting, many bridges connecting villages and hamlets have been solidly built, creating favorable conditions to promote trade of goods and make it easier for people to travel. The headquarters of public works have been invested in spacious and modern. The life, culture and education of Dong Tam commune have changed positively. Along with that, in order to overcome difficulties and help people quickly escape poverty, the commune has actively promoted and mobilized people to change crops and livestock. Since then, many typical examples in production organization and rural economic development have been replicated; product consumption chains such as raising chickens and buffaloes have achieved high results, contributing effectively to poverty reduction in the locality.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh (Chang village, Dong Tam commune, Bac Quang district) said that after the commune was recognized as meeting the new rural standards, the people were very excited. The construction of new rural areas brings many advantages to the people in economic development, creating motivation to help people take care of production to gradually improve their income and life.

Khuoi Do is a particularly difficult village of Bach Ngoc commune (Vi Xuyen district), with 100% of Mong ethnic people living there. The whole village has 65 households, of which 53 are poor, the rest are near-poor and average. People mainly live by planting forests, raising livestock, and growing crops. In order to improve the lives of the people, the Fatherland Front of Vi Xuyen district has coordinated with the "Sowing the Seeds of the Future" Fund to donate 170,000 cinnamon seedlings, worth 150 million VND to plant 34 hectares of cinnamon forest for poor households in difficult circumstances in the village. Thereby, it helps people increase their income from planting forests to develop the economy, gradually escape poverty, raise awareness of forest care and protection, actively contribute to ensuring social security, promoting local socio-economic development and sustainable poverty reduction.

Mr. Vang Seo Con - Chairman of the Fatherland Front of Ha Giang province said that in order to improve the quality of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", in the first 6 months of 2024, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Ha Giang province has promoted propaganda activities, mobilized cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members and people to build new rural areas in 532 sessions with over 5,500 participants; organized the construction of concrete roads, opened new inter-village roads, branch roads, planted trees, renovated mixed gardens, dredged canals, and helped poor households build houses. Along with that, the work of caring for the poor has been implemented by the Fatherland Front at all levels of the province in many forms.

With the spirit of constant innovation, creativity, and improvement of quality and efficiency of operations, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Ha Giang province has promoted the implementation of the campaign, thereby attracting and gathering a large number of people from all walks of life to participate, contributing to the successful implementation of local political tasks.
