Candidates registering for university and college admission in 2025 must complete the payment of the admission fee on the system before 5:00 p.m. on August 5. This is a mandatory condition if they want to participate in the official admission process in this year's admission period.

After the fee payment period ends, the general enrollment support system of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) will coordinate with universities and colleges to conduct a virtual filtering process, announce benchmark scores and organize admission confirmation for successful candidates.

All admissions are conducted on a common system.

One of the notable new points of the 2025 university and college admissions is the complete elimination of early admission. Accordingly, the entire admission process of schools will be carried out synchronously and uniformly on the admissions system of the Ministry of Education and Training .

From August 16, the Ministry of Education and Training will process admission applications on the system, also known as the virtual filtering process. In the next 4 days (from August 17 to 20), the Ministry will conduct 6 virtual filtering sessions, each time returning the processing results to the schools. This process is to ensure that each candidate is only admitted to one application - the application placed in the highest priority position - thereby minimizing the situation of "virtual" candidates at the schools.

Announce benchmark scores before 5:00 p.m. on August 22

After the virtual filtering process ends, from 5:00 p.m. on August 20, universities and colleges will begin announcing the first round of benchmark scores. According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the deadline for training institutions to announce benchmark scores is before 5:00 p.m. on August 22.

From August 22 to 5:00 p.m. on August 30, candidates admitted in the first round must confirm their admission online on the system if they wish to study. The Ministry of Education and Training notes that schools are not allowed to ask candidates to confirm or enroll before August 22, and are not allowed to complete the admission confirmation process before August 30. This is to ensure fairness and protect the rights of all candidates.

Additional enrollment from September

After the official admission round, from September 1 to December 2025, training institutions can organize additional admission rounds if there are still quotas. Candidates who want to participate in the additional admission round should follow the specific announcements from each school, which are publicly posted on the official admissions page of the training institutions.
