Cold air gradually weakens, the North warms up

Forecast for the day and night of April 1, the temperature in the North and North Central regions will increase compared to yesterday but the weather will continue to be cold, with some places experiencing severe cold below 13 degrees Celsius, accompanied by rain in some places.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the cold air is gradually weakening, causing the North to heat up.

Forecast for the day and night of April 1, the Northern and North Central regions will be cold, with some places experiencing severe cold below 13 degrees Celsius, accompanied by rain in some places.

Last night and early this morning (April 1), in the South Central and Southern regions, there were scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some places.

Deputy Head of Weather Forecast Department, National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting Vu Anh Tuan said that on the day and night of April 1, in the South Central and Southern regions, there will continue to be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain with rainfall from 15-30mm, in some places over 60mm.

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.

At sea, Ly Son island has strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7. Forecast for the day and night of April 1, the North East Sea area (including the waters of Hoang Sa archipelago) will have strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas. At night the wind will gradually decrease, waves 2-3.5m high.

The sea area from Quang Ngai to Ca Mau and the northern part of the central East Sea has strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves 1.5-3m high.

In addition, during the day and night of April 1, the central East Sea, the sea area from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.

Mr. Vu Anh Tuan warned that on the day and night of April 2, the sea area from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau will have Northeast wind level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8; rough seas; waves from 1.5-2.5m high. Risk of natural disasters due to strong winds at sea: level 2.

All vessels operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by cyclones, strong winds and large waves.

- Lowest temperature 13-16 degrees Celsius, some places below 13 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 18-21 degrees Celsius, some places above 22 degrees Celsius.

- Early morning and night there is rain, scattered light rain, during the day there is rain in some places, cold weather, high mountainous areas have some places with severe cold.

- Lowest temperature 13-16 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas some places below 13 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 19-22 degrees Celsius, in some places above 22 degrees Celsius.

From Thanh Hoa to Hue

- Some rain in the North; scattered rain and showers in the South. North to Northwest wind level 2-3. Cold weather.

- Lowest temperature from 14-17 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature from 19-22 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi capital

- Cloudy, no rain, cold.

- Lowest temperature 14-16 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 10-22 degrees Celsius.
