Cho Mo is one of the oldest and most famous traditional markets in Hanoi .

Previously, the market was located at the southern gate of the ancient Thang Long citadel, held in sessions, 6 sessions a month on the 2nd, 12th, 22nd, 7th, 17th, 27th of the lunar calendar.

Since 2014, the Cho Mo Commercial Center project has been built, located right at the intersection of Bach Mai and Minh Khai streets (Hai Ba Trung district).

The market area is located in the basement of the Center. That is why people jokingly call this market the “underground” market in the Capital.

Like many other traditional markets, inside Mo Market, there are also a variety of items for sale, divided into areas such as dried goods, clothes, fabrics, etc.

Among them, the food court is a favorite destination for many diners, especially during lunch time.

There are many different stalls here, selling many typical Hanoi delicacies such as vermicelli with fermented shrimp paste, pho, vermicelli with crab soup,... at reasonable prices.

In the summer, many workers, students and pupils in the surrounding areas often go to the food court in Mo Market to experience refreshing and cool foods and drinks such as sweet soup, mixed fruit, tofu pudding, etc.

In winter, hot dishes that help keep the body warm such as hot rice cakes, sweet rice balls, shrimp cakes, pillow cakes, etc. always attract customers.
