In the middle of the forest lies a bird sanctuary, a habitat for many bird species that come to nest and breed. The most prominent are egrets and herons, numbering in the thousands, along with many other species such as water striders, herons, and snipe, as well as larger birds like the lotus heron and stork, who also build their nests here. This area also provides a favorable environment for many reptiles such as king cobras, vipers, monitor lizards, and other amphibians, crustaceans, and mollusks to thrive and develop.
