On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the capital Hanoi has become a destination attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists. Digital travel platform Agoda recorded a 370% increase in domestic tourists' interest in Hanoi compared to the same period last year (data based on the number of accommodation searches made from May 15 to August 15, for check-in dates from August 30 to September 3, compared to the same period last year).
Agoda data also shows that the number of international visitors searching for Hanoi has also increased by 84%. This shows the prominent position of the capital on the international tourism map, gradually becoming an unmissable cultural destination in Southeast Asia.
Interest from both domestic and foreign tourists has skyrocketed for the parades and performances, as this is an opportunity for everyone to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of celebrating 80 years of Vietnam's proud history.
In the context of difficult travel during the Great Festival due to the restriction of vehicles to make space for parades, marches, etc., experts suggest that visitors can choose some locations near the locations to watch the September 2nd parade such as: Hung Vuong-Nguyen Thai Hoc-Hang Chao intersection (this area is where the parade routes separate, with a panoramic view);
Le Duan-Nguyen Thai Hoc intersection (near Ba Dinh Square, easy to observe the first parade formations); Cua Nam six-way intersection (central location, convenient traffic, near the old quarter); Kim Ma Lieu Giai area (viewed from high-rise buildings such as Lotte Center, Daewoo Hotel); Hang Khay-Trang Tien, Hoan Kiem Lake (suitable location for family groups, with many cafes and restaurants).
The latest data from the platform also shows that tourism associated with local heritage continues to be a dominant trend. Tourists are looking for holidays that are culturally rich, easy to travel to, and rich in authentic experiences of local life. These are all strengths of tourism in the capital./.
