Feng shui experts say that in 2025, the 5th day of the 5th lunar month is Saturday, 31st of the 5th solar calendar, which is Canh Ty day, Nham Ngo month, At Ty year. People have good time frames to perform the Doan Ngo Tet worship ceremony: The best time is Nham Ngo hour from 11am to 1pm. Earlier is Ky Mao hour from 5am to 7am. Later is Giap Than hour from 3pm to 5pm. Finally, At Dau hour from 5pm to 7pm.

The Duanwu Festival offerings also cannot lack sour fruits such as plums and peaches.

In the North, the offering tray also includes sticky rice wine with yellow sticky rice or sticky rice wine with purple sticky rice. In addition, there is sticky rice wine and ash cake to help cool the body. Ash cake is made from sticky rice soaked in ash water, wrapped in banana leaves. This type of cake is easy to eat, easy to digest, and tastes better when eaten with sugar or honey.

In the Central region, people also offer rice wine, duck meat, and millet sweet soup.

In the South, in addition to rice wine like in the North, the offering tray also has banh u, che troi nuoc eaten with sugar water. Southern people often buy large, beautiful lychees to offer during the Doan Ngo Festival.

Where to place the offerings for the Dragon Boat Festival?

The Duanwu Festival offering tray can be placed indoors or outdoors. If placed indoors, the most solemn position is on the ancestral altar. If placed outdoors, the offering tray is usually displayed on a table facing the main gate. The homeowner can prepare two offerings at the same time: one on the ancestral altar and one in front of the house to ensure complete rituals.

When making offerings to the God of Wealth on the occasion of the Duanwu Festival, the offering tray should be placed on the altar of the God of Wealth - Ong Dia, showing respect and praying for blessings in work and business. For businesses and stores, depending on conditions and space, the offering tray can be placed at the cashier counter, in the central area or on the altar of the God of Wealth, if available. This location must ensure solemnity and not affect business operations.

The offering tray in the house shows gratitude to the ancestors who have protected the family, while the offering tray in the yard shows respect to heaven, earth, and gods who have given favorable weather and bountiful crops. The worship ritual also expresses the desire to receive blessings for a peaceful, happy life and favorable work and study.

When choosing a location for the offering tray, you need to pay attention to the direction and taboos. The East or Southeast are considered good directions according to Feng Shui, bringing vitality and fortune. Placing the offering tray in these directions will bring luck to the family. Avoid placing the offering tray in a dark place, near the toilet because it is not clean and not suitable for worship.
