Checking the company selling the weight loss product "Ngan 98" but... couldn't find it

On the afternoon of May 21, a source from Dan Tri reporter said that the functional agency under the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City has conducted inspection measures on the company related to the weight loss products advertised by DJ Ngan 98, which caused a stir recently because they were suspected of containing banned substances.

Specifically, the weight loss products listed on the packaging as Hanoi , with a company located in Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, the Food Safety Management Team in charge of Go Vap District went to this address on the morning of May 21 to check, but did not find any company.

Currently, authorities are continuing to search the surrounding areas to see where the above company is located.

Previously, social networks spread images of weight loss products under the brand name Ngan 98. According to records, the above products were advertised on many e-commerce platforms.

As on the SP trading floor, the weight loss product "X1000 Ngan 98" is advertised as a fast weight loss herbal tea for difficult-to-lose bodies, with a box of 30 pills priced at nearly 700,000 VND.

This page says that the above product has an effective weight loss effect without the user having to diet; easily eliminates excess fat in the most difficult areas to lose fat, helps cool the liver, replenish blood, and beautify the skin from deep within.

The advertisement also confirms that the product has been registered for food safety inspection and has an anti-counterfeit stamp; the company will refund 100% if the product is used as prescribed but is not effective.

Besides "X1000 Ngan 98", some other products are also advertised a lot such as weight loss pills X3 (Super Detox X3), or X7 (X7 plus).

Ms. Pham Khanh Phong Lan, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety, said that in the face of the complicated developments in food safety recently, this agency is stepping up inspections, working on weekends, focusing on dairy products and functional foods.

Regarding the case of Manufacturing fake food products that occurred at Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company and Asia Life Joint Stock Company, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security has prosecuted Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien (27 years old, in Ho Chi Minh City) for the crime of Deceiving customers.

In addition to Miss Thuy Tien, four other people were also prosecuted after the Ministry of Public Security expanded its investigation into the case of manufacturing counterfeit food products and defrauding customers related to Asia Life Joint Stock Company and Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company.

Previously, the investigation agency determined that the Kera SuperGreens Gummies Food Supplement product (commonly known as Kera vegetable candy) is a product of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company, manufactured by Asia Life Joint Stock Company, and is "counterfeit".
