VHO - A special friendly match between the Vietnam 7-a-side football team (VPL Dream Team) and the team of professional football stars, national players and former national players - Vietnam All-Stars took place on the afternoon of August 3 at Hoang Mai Stadium (Hanoi), bringing the audience a fiery competition, full of dedication with a 3-3 draw.

The tournament has the participation of stars such as Van Quyet and Duy Manh.

This showmatch features the participation of top names in Vietnamese football such as Van Quyet, Duy Manh, Tien Linh, Huy Hung… alongside prominent stars from the VPL 7-a-side football tournament system. With the nature of the show, the match is still organized methodically and professionally, bringing a rare experience to fans – when amateur players get to compete directly with national stars.

Right after the opening whistle, VPL Dream Team – the team that gathered the typical faces from the VPL-S6 Finals – entered the game confidently. The harmony in playing style and the familiar speed of the 7-a-side pitch helped the amateur team create an early surprise with two goals from Claudecir and Dau Duc Tu.

However, with their superior character and class, the Vietnam All-Stars team quickly regained control of the game. Former player Hoang Dinh Tung scored a spectacular double, before Huy Hung added the third goal, helping the team come back to take the lead.

Not giving up, VPL Dream Team maintained the pace of the match and was rewarded with Le Tuan Anh's equalizer 3-3 in the final minutes, ending the emotional and surprising match.

Not only a football playground, the VPL Dream Team – Vietnam All-Stars Showmatch is also organized for charity purposes, raising funds for the program “Couple of Loving Leaves” – an activity to support disadvantaged children to go to school. Players from both teams have spread the spirit of mutual love through practical actions, demonstrating the social role of modern sports.

The tournament will be held in Ho Chi Minh City in August next year, with the participation of strong teams from Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines, contributing to raising the level of Vietnamese 7-a-side football in the region."

The Showmatch is also the end of the first training session of the Vietnamese 7-a-side football team, which will last from August 1 to 3 in Hanoi . After a positive performance in front of professional stars, the team will continue their training journey in Ho Chi Minh City from August 8 to 17, towards the 2025 International 7-a-side Football Tournament at Gia Dinh Stadium - where they will officially compete with three guests from Southeast Asia.
