DNVN - The Ministry of Finance has just proposed to the Government and the Prime Minister to recover 2.6 trillion VND of unallocated regular expenditure estimates. At the same time, it urged ministries and central agencies to promptly allocate and assign estimates according to regulations.
According to the Ministry of Finance, there are currently about 2.6 trillion VND in regular budget estimates of ministries and branches that have not been allocated. The Ministry of Finance recommends that the Government and the Prime Minister cut down after June 30, 2024 if they have not been allocated to tighten financial and budgetary discipline (except in cases permitted by the Prime Minister ).
As of May 24, 2024, there are about 2.6 trillion VND of regular budget estimates assigned by ministries and central agencies that have not been allocated to budget-using units for implementation. The Ministry of Finance has urged ministries and central agencies to promptly allocate and assign budget estimates according to regulations.
Therefore, in a recent report, the Ministry of Finance proposed that the Government and the Prime Minister include in the Government Resolution the provisions on implementing cuts to the regular expenditure estimates assigned to ministries and central agencies, but not yet allocated after June 30, 2024.
There are still nearly 17.6 trillion VND of unallocated capital plans of 21 ministries, central agencies and 26 localities, accounting for 2.65% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister. Of which, the central budget capital is 7.4 trillion VND; the local budget capital is 10.2 trillion VND.
Also according to the Ministry of Finance, the disbursement rate for the first 5 months is estimated to be approximately the same as the same period in 2023, but the capital is about VND 8.9 trillion (-5.6%) lower than the same period.
