VOV.VN - Last night (September 12), in response to the heavy losses caused by storm No. 3 to people in Northern Vietnam, the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe, the Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic and other Vietnamese associations in Europe launched a fundraising campaign to provide financial support to people in their homeland who were severely affected by storm No. 3.
On behalf of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe and the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, Mr. Hoang Dinh Thang hopes that overseas Vietnamese will uphold the tradition of helping each other, mutual love, and material donations to share with compatriots in the country who have been severely affected by storms and floods.

As of 9:00 p.m. on September 12 (local time), Vietnamese associations in the Czech Republic have donated more than 1.3 million kronor (equivalent to 1.4 billion VND). These are the sentiments of overseas Vietnamese to share the difficulties and losses of Vietnamese people affected by storm No. 3.

The donation program will continue in the coming days. In addition, Vietnamese associations in Hungary, Romania and Poland are also launching programs to support people in localities severely affected by storm No. 3. In related developments, responding to the call of General Secretary andPresident To Lam and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic and Hungary has called on each embassy staff member to donate to support people suffering from the consequences of storm No. 3. In the context that people in many provinces and cities are struggling to cope with the consequences and heavy losses in terms of human lives and property, embassies of various countries have immediately organized financial donations, demonstrating the Vietnamese tradition of "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves, the less torn leaves cover the more torn leaves", contributing to joining hands with the Party and State to support and restore production and people's lives. On the same day (September 12), the Association of Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic also held a meeting and exchange ceremony with the Vietnam national women's football team. At the ceremony, delegates observed a minute of silence for those who died due to storms and floods in Vietnam. Speaking at the welcoming ceremony of the Vietnam national women's team's training trip, Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam recalled the outstanding achievements of the national women's football team in recent times, contributing to affirming and enhancing Vietnam's position in the process of international integration. The Ambassador believes that the training trip to the Czech Republic will create a new momentum for the team to achieve higher results in major tournaments next year. Some photos at the program:
