The program is organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Department of Peacekeeping , the Ministry of National Defense, to enhance the understanding of the young overseas Vietnamese generation about the noble international role and mission of the Vietnam People's Army in general and the peacekeeping force in particular in the current period.

At the beginning of the program, delegates watched a video introducing the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, a unit under the Ministry of National Defense , established to carry out the noble international mission in United Nations peacekeeping operations. Although it is a young force, after more than a decade of operation, the Peacekeeping Department has affirmed Vietnam's position and prestige in maintaining and building peace globally, with many officers, doctors, and engineers participating in hot spots such as South Sudan, the Central African Republic, etc.

Speaking at the welcoming ceremony for overseas Vietnamese delegates from around the world who visited and interacted at the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, Colonel Mac Duc Trong, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, said that it was the profound humanitarian actions - from humanitarian assistance, infrastructure reconstruction to community health care - that helped connect the peacekeeping forces with the local people, leaving a good impression of the image of the Vietnamese "blue beret" force, the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers: brave, responsible, compassionate, and peace-loving.

On this occasion, Colonel Mac Duc Trong also sent a message to the young generation of overseas Vietnamese: “Although you are living and studying in many different countries, you all have one thing in common – Vietnamese origin. Hopefully, through today's exchange, you will be more proud of your nation, love your homeland and be ready to become 'messengers of peace' spreading the good values of Vietnam to friends around the world."
Expressing her gratitude to the Ministry of National Defense and the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department for creating a valuable opportunity for young overseas Vietnamese to directly meet and learn from the nation's silent heroes, Vice Chairwoman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Ngo Thi Thanh Mai expressed her pride in the contributions of the Vietnamese peacekeeping force, affirming that the presence of Vietnamese officers and soldiers in peacekeeping missions not only contributes to maintaining peace and stability in conflict areas but also demonstrates the image of a proactive, positive, and responsible Vietnam towards the international community.
The Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese also expressed his hope that through today's exchange, overseas Vietnamese youth will not only understand more about the role and noble mission of the Vietnamese peacekeeping force, but also be inspired by the spirit of dedication, global responsibility and patriotism from the living examples right before their eyes.

The discussion and direct exchange between Vietnamese peacekeepers and overseas Vietnamese youth took place enthusiastically. Many questions were raised about peacekeeping missions: from harsh working conditions, life-and-death situations, to emotional memories with local people and strict selection requirements for peacekeepers. The soldiers shared sincerely, opening up new perspectives on the “peacemaking” profession, motivating young people to reach out to the world with a sense of global responsibility and deep patriotism.
The program ended with a special cultural exchange and martial arts performance, with performances by overseas Vietnamese delegates and soldiers. Notably, the young overseas Vietnamese brought a mashup performance of “Calligraphy – Vietnamese Language – Red Blood, Yellow Skin – I Love” which was elaborately staged with emotional dancing, singing and dancing in traditional Ao Dai, clearly expressing national pride, love for the Vietnamese language and the desire to be attached to the homeland.
