Business with social responsibility

Representatives of the Provincial Business Association presented a charitable house to a poor family in Nam Thanh ward, Dien Bien Phu city.

Mr. Bui Duc Giang, Chairman of the Provincial Business Association, said: As the central coordinating body for businesses, the Provincial Business Association regularly promotes and encourages its members to build ethical standards and corporate culture; to care for employees and be socially responsible; and to work alongside the government in implementing programs and policies to ensure social security. Social security support activities are implemented with diverse and varied content and forms. As part of its annual program, the Association and its member businesses donate nearly 30,000 warm jackets to underprivileged children in remote areas of the province. Nearly 7,000 gifts were given to disabled and orphaned children, and families facing difficult circumstances during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Children's Day (June 1st), and the Lunar New Year... This contributed to motivating and encouraging poor children and households to strive for success in their studies, work, and contributing to building their homeland. Responding to the call for support in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Association appealed to its members for support, raising nearly 5 billion VND, including: donations to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund; donations of medical supplies, food, and essential goods for pandemic prevention and control, and for those in quarantine at medical facilities and centralized quarantine areas; and support for doctors and nurses deployed to Binh Duong to combat the pandemic...

Focusing on the poor, children, and people in mountainous and ethnic minority areas, from 2018 to the present, the Provincial Business Association has called on member businesses to support the construction of 3 commune/ward cultural centers; 5 meeting rooms and 12 houses of compassion; donated 20 computer sets for students; and supported electricity lines for lighting in mountainous and remote areas, with a total value of nearly 20 billion VND. Member businesses of the Provincial Business Association also actively support major programs and events of the province such as: the Hoa Ban Festival, the Boat Racing Festival, fireworks displays during the Lunar New Year... Notable examples include: Dien Bien Water Supply Joint Stock Company, Dien Bien Petroleum Company, Dien Bien Power Company, Construction and Trading Company No. 6, Hoa Ba Education and Trade Service Company, Truong Thinh Joint Stock Company... Through social welfare activities, they not only contribute to sharing difficulties and encouraging the poor and policy beneficiaries to improve their lives, but also spread a spirit of social responsibility widely within the business sector.

To continue participating in and effectively implementing social welfare work in the coming period, the Provincial Business Association closely adheres to the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies, and the province's policies on social welfare, for the benefit of the community, in order to disseminate information to member businesses. At the same time, it continues to play a bridging role between businesses and the government to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles, helping businesses develop production and business. This contributes to promoting socio -economic development and creating resources to effectively ensure social welfare in the locality, especially in remote areas and areas inhabited by ethnic minorities, with the motto "Business linked with social responsibility".
