Business losses, many stocks are put on warning list

An announcement from HNX said that from April 7, KTT shares of KTT Investment Group Joint Stock Company will be put on warning status due to the company's negative recorded undistributed profit after tax. At the end of 2022, KTT suffered a loss of more than VND 7.63 billion while in 2021 it still made a profit of more than VND 2.3 billion.

Also from April 7, TVN shares of Vietnam Steel Corporation were put on warning status due to the financial statements having an audit exception for 3 consecutive years. Accordingly, the auditing company said that it was impossible to determine the figures presented by the company related to the value of the investment in Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Corporation by the end of 2022, reaching 1,213.7 billion VND, which was implemented from 2007 to date and has not been completed.

Vietnam Steel Corporation was given an exception opinion by the auditor regarding its investment in Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Company.

Similarly, the investment in Viet Trung Metallurgical Minerals Company Limited at the end of 2022 was more than VND 943.4 billion and the reserve value was more than VND 732.4 billion. There is still no independently audited financial report for 2022 of this company, so the above values cannot be adjusted. Regarding business results, in 2022, Vietnam Steel Corporation had a loss after tax of more than VND 760 billion while in 2021 it had a high profit of up to VND 877.7 billion.

For the same reason that the auditor gave an exception opinion in the financial report for 3 consecutive years, NAU shares of Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company and VHG shares of Viet Trung Nam Investment and Development Joint Stock Company were also put on warning list by Hanoi Stock Exchange.

Previously, many stocks were also put on warning list due to business losses or auditors having exception opinions on financial statements such as VDS of Rong Viet Securities Company; OIL stock of Vietnam Oil Corporation; SJM stock of Song Da 19 Joint Stock Company...
