Digital technology application in specialized associations

Thai Binh Literature and Arts Association currently has 308 members in 8 specialized branches. In recent years, artists in the province have produced many works and projects of high value in terms of content and art, many of which have won domestic and international awards. However, the application of science and technology and digital transformation in the creation and promotion of works is still limited. The field with the most technology application is architecture. In addition, the Photography Association is also a gathering place for members who have invested heavily in digital technology machinery and equipment, along with pre-production and post-production photo software, facilitating operations and improving the quality of images and artistic photography. From the investment in digital technology, every year, many works of the Association members have won awards and been displayed at international exhibitions, thereby practically promoting the beauty of the land and people of Thai Binh. In the current period, not only domestic and international photo contests and festivals, but also most photo contests held in the province such as "Beautiful Photos of Thai Binh", "Ao Dai Charming", "Vietnamese Ao Dai - Beautiful Moments with Family"... the organizing committee also accepts works online, thereby creating an attraction for authors in terms of convenience, while also facilitating the organizing committee and judges in the process of judging and selecting works to display.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang, President of Thai Binh Literature and Arts Association, added: With the Literature Association and the Folk Literature Association, although the specificity is writing and research, many members have spread and promoted their works online. In addition, the website of the Literature and Arts Association also actively posts works of members of specialized associations. To create a breakthrough in digital transformation in the creation and promotion of literature and arts, it is necessary to organize seminars, talks, and training courses on the application of digital technology in the creation and promotion of works for members; build a digital database of literary and artistic works; invest in human resources and equipment to collect data and information, operate that database and all individuals can access, watch, listen, and read literary and artistic works of members of specialized associations. It is necessary to upgrade the Association's website into an electronic Literature and Arts Magazine, opening up new opportunities for artists to access and share their creativity.

The artist's concerns

Listening to opinions on the results of digital transformation in the field of literature and art, forecasting the creative trends of artists in the digital age, the Thai Binh Literature and Art Association coordinated with the provincial literature and art associations in the VN8+6 group to organize a workshop on "Digital transformation in the field of literature and art". At this forum, managers and members had the opportunity to exchange and evaluate the policies of the Party and State on digital transformation in their fields, discuss the ongoing digital transformation process and the contributions of artists. Writer Nie Thanh Mai, Chairman of the Dak Lak Literature and Art Association, said: In the field of photography and fine arts, when artists apply digital technology, their works are spread on online forums, reaching more people. From having many people know their works, many painters and photographers have sold their works not only in the domestic market but also internationally, which is an immediate effect. More importantly, in this process, the artist himself, by proactively approaching the public, will no longer only create for himself but will create in a way that meets the public's taste and the demands of the times.

Managers and artists have also predicted issues that need attention and proposed solutions to better implement digital transformation in the field of literature and art. Artist Do Duc Huy, Photography Association, Literature and Art Association of Phu Tho province informed: In the process of applying AI to works of art, copyright is an issue that needs attention. Who will the work belong to? Does it belong to the person who provided the data, the programmer or the AI development manager? This is an issue that artists need to think about before having the need to apply AI to their works. In addition, if artists abuse the use of artificial intelligence too much, it will easily affect their flexibility and creativity.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, Literature and Arts Magazine, Yen Bai Province Literature and Arts Association expressed: In the creative process, each artist needs to understand their role and position and promote it. Digital technology is a powerful support tool in the creative activities of artists.

Poet Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of the Hue City Literature and Arts Association, said: Digital technology has a simulated language and simulated emotions, while artists who want their works to reach the public must create from the heart. Only when the work carries real emotions can it reach and conquer the public. Thus, artists must have both the intelligence to use digital technology and create works from their true emotions and feelings.

Each stage of development poses new opportunities and challenges for artists. In the digital age, preserving and promoting traditional literary and artistic values, creating new values or exploring digital space all play important roles.
