The National Assembly passed a resolution to relieve Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue from the position of Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the 2021-2026 term, approve the dismissal of the position of member of the National Defense and Security Council, and remove him from the duties of a deputy of the 15th National Assembly.

On the afternoon of May 2, 2024, the 7th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly took place at the National Assembly House, Hanoi, to carry out the following contents: Consider the dismissal of the position of Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the 2021-2026 term, approve the dismissal of the position of Member of the National Defense and Security Council, and dismiss Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue, of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong City, from the duty of National Assembly delegate of the 15th term; consider the dismissal of Mr. Duong Van Thai, of the National Assembly Delegation of Bac Giang Province, from the position of National Assembly delegate of the 15th term.
After listening to the presentations and opinions of Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue, the National Assembly discussed, voted by secret ballot and passed: Resolution on dismissal of the position of Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the 2021-2026 term, approval of dismissal of the position of member of the National Defense and Security Council, and dismissal of the duties of a deputy of the 15th National Assembly for Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue; Resolution on dismissal of the deputy of the 15th National Assembly for Mr. Duong Van Thai./.
