Speaking at the opening of the session, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council emphasized: The 18th session is the last session of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council, term VII, before merging with Ninh Thuan province, taking place in the context of the entire provincial political system focusing resources on perfecting institutions, arranging and streamlining the apparatus on schedule and with quality according to the direction of the Politburo, the National Assembly and the Government to ensure that the two-level local government officially comes into operation smoothly from July 1.
At the meeting, delegates of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council passed a series of important resolutions. Notably, the urgent resolutions submitted by the Provincial People's Committee to promote the province's socio -economic development in the coming time, as well as serve the activities of the two-level local government that officially began operating from July 1.

Closing the session, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan requested agencies, units, and localities to organize the operation of the new apparatus after implementing the arrangement of administrative units and organizing 2-level local governments to ensure smooth, continuous, and effective operation, without interrupting work, without affecting the normal operations of agencies, organizations, businesses, and people; promptly complete the payment of regimes and policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers who quit their jobs due to the arrangement;...
According to Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly, the entire Ninh Thuan province will merge with Khanh Hoa province, forming the new Khanh Hoa province, with an area of 8,555.86 km² and a population of more than 2.24 million people.
Along with that, Resolution 1667/NQ-UBTVQH15 decided to rearrange the commune-level administrative units of Khanh Hoa province, establishing 65 new units, including 48 communes, 16 wards and 1 special zone.
