Third session of the Phu Quoc Special Administrative Region People's Council, first term.

On October 23, the People's Council of Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone held its 3rd (special) session of the 1st term, 2021-2026, to review, discuss, adjust, and supplement the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 and the year 2025 using state budget funds in the area; and to give opinions on personnel matters and other issues within its authority. Attending the session was Comrade Le Quoc Anh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone.

At the meeting, delegates approved the report summarizing voter opinions on the plan to rename neighborhoods within the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone.

Simultaneously, through the following submissions: Renaming neighborhoods within the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone; proposing the repeal of Decision No. 01/QD-UBND dated July 1, 2025, of the People's Committee of the Special Economic Zone on the establishment of the Public Administrative Service Center; establishing a Public Administrative Service Center under the People's Committee of the Special Economic Zone; specifying the staffing levels of officials and civil servants in specialized agencies and administrative organizations, and the number of employees receiving salaries from the state budget in public service units under the People's Committee of the Special Economic Zone; adjusting and supplementing the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 using state budget funds in the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone; adjusting and supplementing the 2025 public investment plan using state budget funds in the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone; and the verification reports of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee and the Economic and Budget Committee.

Delegates cast their votes to elect the Vice Chairman of the Special Administrative Region People's Council.

Ms. Dang Thi Hong Gam, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone and Chairwoman of the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone People's Council, presented flowers to offer congratulations.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone People's Committee Tran Minh Khoa presented a proposal to the Special Economic Zone People's Council for consideration and election of Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Loan - Chief of the Office of the People's Council and People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone - to the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the Special Economic Zone, for the term 2021 - 2026.

With 150 out of 160 votes cast, representing a 93.75% majority, Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Loan was elected to the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone.
