At the ceremony, representatives of the Provincial Police announced the 2026 amnesty decision of the President of Vietnam for 27 inmates currently serving prison sentences who meet the eligibility criteria. This is a humane policy, reflecting the nation's tradition of leniency and the concern of the Party and State for those who show remorse, actively work, study, and make progress in their rehabilitation so that they can soon return to reintegrate into the community.

The leaders of Detention Center No. 2 presented the 2026 amnesty decisions to the individuals.
Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Minh, Superintendent of Detention Center No. 2, expressed his hope that after returning to their localities, the pardoned individuals would continue to abide by the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws, avoid re-offending, actively engage in labor, stabilize their lives, and contribute to the development of their homeland.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Minh also requested that all levels, sectors, organizations, and local authorities continue to pay attention to, create favorable conditions for, and assist those granted amnesty to reintegrate into the community, find stable employment, improve their lives, and become useful citizens for society.
