Signing of cooperation between the Provincial Women's Union and the Cooperative Union of Phu Tho province

On August 21, the Phu Tho Provincial Women's Union and the Provincial Cooperative Alliance signed a cooperation program to support cooperatives managed by women and create jobs for female workers for the 2024-2030 period.

In recent times, along with implementing political tasks, the two agencies have had many coordinated activities in propaganda, consulting on the establishment of new cooperatives and supporting cooperatives, especially cooperatives owned by women.

Currently, Phu Tho province has 735 cooperatives and 1,146 cooperative groups , of which 100 are owned by women; of the 101 cooperatives with products meeting Ocop standards, 27 are owned by women (7 cooperatives with 4 stars, 20 cooperatives with 3 stars) . The Association at all levels has supported the establishment of: 16 cooperatives, 58 cooperative groups with 785 participating members.

At the Conference, the two sides agreed to sign a support agreement for cooperatives managed by women for the period 2024-2030 with the following contents: Raising awareness of collective economic development; Strengthening the quality of operations of cooperatives managed by women; Improving the quality of human resources, training propaganda skills for Association officials; Consulting and supporting women to establish more cooperatives and cooperative groups.

Strive to establish 10 new cooperatives and 15 cooperative groups/association groups managed and operated by women by 2030, creating new jobs for about 650 female workers. 100% of cooperatives and cooperative groups run by women will clearly understand the Party's policies and the State's laws on collective economy and cooperative development.

The two agencies also coordinate to organize 2-3 specific activities each year such as: Training, seminars, trade promotion...

Phu Tho Provincial Women's Union and the Provincial Cooperative Alliance agreed to sign a cooperation program to support cooperatives managed by women for the period 2024-2030.

The coordination program aims to raise awareness of members, women and people about the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on collective economic and cooperative development; promote the role of women in participating in the development of collective economic and cooperatives.

At the same time, strengthen and improve the operational efficiency of cooperatives managed and operated by women and create jobs for female workers, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of members and workers in cooperatives.
