Commemorating the 235th anniversary of the Victory of Ngoc Hoi-Dong Da

On February 13th, in Thanh Tri District ( Hanoi ), a ceremony was held to commemorate the 235th anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi Victory in the Spring of 1789, honoring the national hero Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue, who achieved a historic victory, defeating 290,000 Qing troops and creating a glorious chapter in the history of the Vietnamese nation.

On the fourth day of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon, people gathered at Thanh Tri District Square to attend the commemoration ceremony of the Ngoc Hoi Victory. This momentous event attracted the attention and participation of a large number of people from within and outside the region, to express gratitude and remembrance to the heroes who regained freedom for the country.

The victory at Ngoc Hoi in the spring of 1789 (Year of the Rooster) is a glorious chapter in the nation's history. With his military genius and leadership vision, Nguyen Hue organized and commanded a fierce battle, decisively defeating the Qing army and marking a crucial turning point in the resistance against the Qing invasion.

He demonstrated unwavering resolve and seriousness in the war. With clever tactics, the Vietnamese army shocked the Qing forces, eliminating and capturing thousands of enemy soldiers, thereby opening the way to reclaiming sovereignty for their beloved country.

Today, the name of Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue is not only a symbol of patriotism and the spirit of fighting for freedom and justice, but also a source of inspiration and pride for the entire Vietnamese nation.

The 235th anniversary celebration of the Ngoc Hoi Victory in the spring of 1789 evoked historical memories and reminded each individual of their responsibility to the country and the nation.
