In Binh Thuan, in the 3 quarters of 2024, 510 newly established enterprises were recorded (down 4.13% over the same period last year) with a total newly registered capital of VND 5,042.8 billion (down 15.47% over the same period). However, at the same time, in the province, there were also 515 enterprises temporarily suspending operations and more than 100 cases of dissolved enterprises... However, in that context, the majority of the business community and entrepreneurs always find ways to overcome difficulties to maintain production and business activities, creating regular jobs for workers.
It is noteworthy that in the first 9 months of 2024, many enterprises in industrial parks in Binh Thuan still had stable orders. Focusing on key product groups including: Footwear, garment, handbag, cashew, seafood, food, wood products, mechanics, minerals or trade and service groups... In addition, there are also a number of new enterprises starting to operate or starting to expand the scale of production and business in industrial parks to expand the market.
Typically, Trans Pacific Seafood Processing Company Limited (Phan Thiet Industrial Park - Phase 2) has just inaugurated a cold storage and a new production line with an area of over 3,900 m2 with a capacity of about 3,000 pallets, equivalent to 2,000 tons of goods. The representative of this enterprise said that the unit has received many orders from now until the end of 2025, and is accelerating the process of improving processing capacity to promptly meet customer needs...
The efforts of businesses here to overcome difficulties also contributed to helping most of the basic indicators of Binh Thuan industrial parks maintain a good growth rate in the 3 quarters of this year. Specifically: Revenue is estimated at 7,190 billion VND (up more than 10% over the same period last year), contributing about 190 million USD in export turnover (up 11.5%) and paying 195 billion VND to the budget (up 13.7%).
Meanwhile, the Binh Thuan Business Association continues to play a representative role, connecting the business community with provincial leaders and local functional departments. Since the beginning of 2024, the "common home" of the business community in the province has admitted 5 new members, bringing the total number of current Association members to more than 120 members.
In addition to striving to bring about efficiency in production and business, in recent times, member enterprises of Binh Thuan Business Association have also actively participated in social activities with a total amount of nearly 9 billion VND. Of which, Tet gifts for the poor and policy families are nearly 630 million VND, building "Warm Houses of Love" - "Great Unity Houses" is about 1.4 billion VND, supporting the "Step Up for Children to Go to School" Scholarship Fund is 3.7 billion VND, supporting the recovery of natural disasters and floods is 2.2 billion VND. In addition, member enterprises have also contributed other donations and participated in many charitable social activities but have not been counted or updated...
The economic situation is forecast to continue to be unpredictable, so the business community and entrepreneurs in Binh Thuan will continue to overcome difficulties and rise up, while being optimistic about production and business results in the coming time. Especially for enterprises in the processing and manufacturing industry, the survey showed that nearly 87% of enterprises assessed that the production and business situation in the fourth quarter of 2024 was stable and better than the third quarter (of which up to 58.21% of enterprises assessed that the trend would be better).
In the last months of this year, Binh Thuan Business Association also focuses on supporting members through implementing key contents. Particularly for the work of businessmen for the community, it aims to mobilize members to participate in supporting funds to promote the program of donating 20 sets of computers to schools in communes building new rural areas in the province...
