In addition to the banks that have announced average lending and deposit interest rates for June, BIDV, Nam A Bank and SHB have just announced average lending and deposit interest rates for July.

According to VietNamNet statistics, among the banks that announced average lending interest rates for June or July, up to 20 banks announced interest rates that had decreased compared to the previous month.

Four banks recorded a slight increase in average lending interest rates compared to the previous month, including LPBank up 0.17%/year; PVCombank up 0.14%/year; GPBank up 0.13%/year and SHB up 0.06%/year. These are all increases in June compared to the rates announced in May.

Meanwhile, banks kept the average lending interest rate unchanged in June including: Eximbank, MB, Saigonbank, Vietcombank .

Among the 20 banks that reduced average lending interest rates, ABBank reduced the most, up to 2.07%/year.

The banks leading in the reduction of average lending interest rates are: BaoViet Bank decreased by 0.89%/year; Techcombank decreased by 0.44%/year; TPBank decreased by 0.39%/year; VIB decreased by 0.28%/year; Viet A Bank decreased by 0.21%/year; BVBank decreased by 0.18%/year; OCB decreased by 0.15%/year compared to May.

Notably, the average lending interest rates of banks as of June were all below 9%/year.

At the time of announcement, 7 banks had average lending interest rates above 8%/year, including Saigonbank (8.98%/year); Viet A Bank (8.96%/year); Bac A Bank (8.65%/year); BVBank (8.39%/year); PVCombank (8.29%/year); KienlongBank (8.17%/year); BaoViet Bank (8.08%/year).

“On the other hand, SCB, ABBank, BIDV and Vietcombank are the groups with the lowest average lending interest rates. Of which, the average lending interest rate at SCB is 5.39%/year; ABBank 5.45%/year; BIDV 5.49%/year and Vietcombank 5.6%/year. These are the banks that announced average interest rates below 6%/year.

In particular, BIDV's average lending interest rate in July was 5.49%/year, down 0.01%/year compared to the previous month. The interest rate difference between lending and mobilization was 2.52%/year on average. The interest rate difference after deducting costs related to capital mobilization and capital use was 1.35%/year.

At Vietcombank, the average lending interest rate for June 2025 is 5.6%/year, unchanged from the previous month. The average difference between deposit and lending interest rates is 2.8%/year. The interest rate difference after deducting costs related to capital mobilization and capital use is 1.2%/year.

Agribank announced that the average lending interest rate in June was 6.51%/year, down 0.03%/year compared to May; the difference between the lending interest rate and the average deposit interest rate was 1.13%/year.

In the Big 4 banking group, there is no information about VietinBank announcing the average lending interest rate in recent months. Previously, this bank announced the average lending interest rate in January 2025 was 5.6%/year, the lowest interest rate in the Big 4 group.

According to information from the State Bank, lending interest rates have continued to trend downward since the beginning of the year. The new average lending interest rate is at 6.23%/year, down 0.7%/year compared to the end of 2024, thereby contributing to reducing capital costs for businesses and people, promoting production and business recovery.
