Bank interest rates today January 15, 2025, KienLong Bank increased deposit interest rates for the second time this month. Currently, the highest deposit interest rate announced by this bank is up to 6.4%/year.
Kien Long Commercial Joint Stock Bank (KienLong Bank) has just become the first bank to increase deposit interest rates for the second time in January, with an increase in interest rates for terms from 12 months.
According to the online interest rate schedule for individual customers just announced by KienLong Bank, the 12-month term bank interest rate has increased by 0.2%/year, to 6.1%/year.
The adjustment of 12-month deposit interest rates makes KienLong Bank one of the five banks listing interest rates for this term from 6%/year or higher, along with CB, BVBank, GPBank, and MSB.
KienLong Bank also increased savings interest rates for terms from 12-17 months to 6.1%/year after adding 0.3%/year interest rates for these terms.
Bank interest rates for terms of 18-24 months were also listed at 6.1%/year after increasing by 0.2%/year.
The 36-month bank interest rate also increased to 6.3%/year after increasing by 0.2%/year from today.
Apart from Eximbank (6.8%/year) and BVB (6.3%/year), no bank listed interest rates higher than KienLong Bank for a 36-month term.
Notably, the highest interest rate at KienLong Bank has reached 6.4%/year when customers deposit money for a 60-month term. This interest rate is 0.3%/year higher than before the adjustment.
The recent increase in interest rates has kept KienLong Bank in the top group of banks in terms of deposit interest rates. In fact, the interest rate of 6.4%/year that this bank has just announced is only behind the highest deposit interest rate of 6.8%/year of Eximbank.
KienLong Bank is also the only bank that changed its deposit interest rates today. Previously, on January 9, this bank increased interest rates for all terms from 1-36 months, with an increase of 0.1-0.4%/year.
According to statistics from the beginning of January 2025 to now, 7 banks have increased their deposit interest rates, including: Agribank , Bac A Bank, NCB, MBV, Eximbank, KienlongBank (twice), VietBank. However, NCB and Agribank also simultaneously reduced interest rates for terms of 12-36 months. Also reducing interest rates are ABBank, SeABank, Nam A Bank, Techcombank (twice).
