Many banks increase short-term interest rates
VCBNeo, one of the pioneering banks, has just increased interest rates by 0.2 percentage points per year for terms from 1 to 7 months, bringing online deposit interest rates to 4.35% per year for terms of 1-2 months, 4.55% per year for terms of 3-4 months, 4.7% per year for terms of 5 months, and 5.6% per year for terms of 6-7 months.

At the counter, the interest rate for individual customers receiving interest at the end of the term has also been adjusted, with a term of 1-2 months reaching 4.15%/year, 3-4 months reaching 4.35%/year, 5 months reaching 4.6%/year, and 6-7 months reaching 5.3%/year.
Since the beginning of July, VCBNeo, VPBank and Techcombank have increased interest rates, while Bac A Bank is the only bank to reduce deposit interest rates.
"Huge" interest rate up to 9.65%/year for large deposits
Some banks offer particularly high interest rates, such as ABBank with 9.65%/year for deposits of VND1,500 billion or more with a term of 13 months, PVcomBank with 9%/year for a term of 12-13 months with a minimum balance of VND2,000 billion, HDBank with 8.1%/year for a term of 13 months and a balance of VND500 billion, or Vikki Bank with 7.5%/year for a term of 13 months or more with an amount of VND999 billion or more.
6% interest per year no balance required
Banks such as Bac A Bank, IVB, ACB , and LPBank also apply interest rates from 6% to 6.5%/year for long terms with large balance requirements of 200 billion VND or more.
Notably, some banks such as Cake by VPBank, HDBank, BVBank, VietABank, and Bac A Bank offer interest rates from 6%/year for terms from 12 to 60 months without requiring a minimum balance, providing an attractive option for individual customers.
