Due to the impact of storm No. 3 (storm Wipha), from early morning to the afternoon of July 21, in many communes and wards in the South of Lam Dong province, heavy rain continued to occur with strong gusts of wind, causing many trees to fall and the roofs of some houses to be blown off.

In Bao Lam 3 Commune, at noon of the same day, heavy rain and strong winds completely blew off the roof of the house of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh (64 years old, residing in Hamlet 5, old Loc Nam Commune). Immediately after receiving the report, Bao Lam 3 Commune Police quickly mobilized officers and soldiers to coordinate with the Commune Military Command to be present at the scene to support Mrs. Thanh's family to overcome the consequences. After about 2 hours, with a high spirit and responsibility, the forces completed the re-roofing of the house for Mrs. Thanh's family.

The forces of the Commune Military Command, Commune Police, and youth were present in time to support the people in re-roofing their houses to stabilize their lives.

Similarly, at around 3:20 p.m. this afternoon, at Bao Loc pass in Ward 3 Bao Loc (Village 5, old Dai Lao commune), a forest tree fell, causing branches to fall on a car traveling up the pass. Fortunately, the tree falls only caused minor damage to the vehicles and did not cause any casualties.

Previously, yesterday afternoon, July 20, due to the impact of storm No. 3, in many communes and wards in the south of the province, there was heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, causing a series of trees to fall; many areas of durian trees of local people lost their fruits, many houses had their roofs blown off, were flooded and many electric poles were broken. In particular, localities such as Ward 2 Bao Loc and Ward 3 Bao Loc suffered heavy damage. Currently, local authorities and functional agencies are calculating the damage.

Currently, storm No. 3 is developing complicatedly, due to the influence of storms and rains, this afternoon and evening, in the southern communes and wards of Lam Dong province, there is a risk of heavy rain with strong gusts of wind. The communes and wards are directing the authorities to closely monitor the developments of the storm and rains; arrange police and militia forces to be on duty to synchronously deploy solutions to ensure the safety of people and property. The authorities have also warned of areas at risk of landslides and flooding so that people can promptly prevent and respond.
