Previously, on the morning of June 26, at examination room 2206, examination site of Thang Long High School, Nam Ban town, Lam Ha district ( Lam Dong ), the invigilator of the Literature exam discovered that student NPTS, born in 2007, residing in Lam Ha district, had unusual signs, suspected of using high-tech equipment to cheat on the exam, so he reported to the head of the examination site to check and make a record of suspending the exam for the above case; at the same time, the head of the examination site discussed with the police to coordinate handling according to regulations.
After receiving the information, Lam Dong Provincial Police conducted an investigation, verification and discovered: Around June 2025, due to the pressure of exam results, NPTS went online to order a set of electronic devices including wireless bean headphones and a tiny wireless button-shaped camera to prepare for cheating in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam . After receiving the above devices, NPTS met and instructed BTQ, born in 2008, residing in Lam Ha district, on how to use the devices, and asked BTQ to help solve and read the exam answers.
On the morning of June 26, the NPTS installed electronic devices, hid them on their person, and brought a mobile phone pre-set to make a voice call via the Facebook Messenger application with the BTQ into examination room 2206 to take the Literature exam. Here, the NPTS used a camera to directly record the official Literature exam and automatically sent it to the BTQ via the LookCam application. Outside, the BTQ took pictures of the exam, then downloaded it, used the GPT Chat application to solve the exam, and read the answers via a Messenger call to the NPTS in the examination room to copy the answers.

During the investigation and verification process, Lam Dong Provincial Police determined that the case clearly showed signs of the crime of "Intentionally disclosing State secrets; appropriating State secrets" as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 337 of the 2015 Penal Code (amended and supplemented in 2017).
On the morning of June 27, the Lam Dong Provincial Police Department's investigation security agency issued a decision to initiate a criminal case to conduct an investigation according to the law.
