At nearly 9:00 a.m., the company listed the price of SJC gold bars at 116.5-117 million VND/tael (buy) - 119.2 million VND/tael (sell), down 500,000 VND/tael each way compared to the end of the previous day.
The price of gold rings also went down. Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed gold rings of type 1-5 at only 113.2 million VND/tael (buy) - 115.7 million VND/tael (sell), 200,000 VND/tael lower than the end of yesterday.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited lowered 400,000 VND/tael each way, to 114.1 million VND/tael (buy) - 117.1 million VND/tael (sell).
Domestic gold prices fell sharply in the context of the weekend trading session, international gold prices fell deeply to 3,274.8 USD/ounce.
The converted world gold price is currently about 15.4 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.
Looking back at the domestic gold market, after the first two days of the week being stable, on June 25, the price of SJC gold bars decreased by 200,000 VND/tael, down to 117.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 119.5 million VND/tael (sell).
The next day, the price of precious metals remained unchanged and by June 26, reached VND118 million/tael (buy) - VND120 million/tael (sell) after increasing by VND500,000/tael.
Thus, after many days of trading below the 120 million VND/tael mark, the gold price has returned to the above mark.
However, on June 27, the decrease in international gold prices pulled down the domestic precious metal price, down 300,000 VND/tael, falling below the 120 million VND/tael mark, to 117.7 million VND/tael (buy) - 119.7 million VND/tael (sell).
With the above developments, compared to last weekend, the price of SJC gold bars has decreased by 500,000 VND/tael.
The price of gold rings also fluctuated little last week and decreased by a total of about 500,000 VND/tael.
