Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa provinces collaborate to promote investment.

The program connecting Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa opens up new opportunities for cooperation in attracting investment, developing trade, and linking regional tourism.

Regional linkages create new impetus for development.

On the afternoon of June 3rd, in Xuan Huong ward, Da Lat, the Lam Dong Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, in coordination with the Khanh Hoa Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, organized a program to connect and cooperate in investment, trade and tourism promotion between the two localities in 2026.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Linh Vu, Deputy Director of the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center of Lam Dong province, said that Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa are two localities with adjacent geographical locations, connected by major transportation routes and possessing mutually complementary development advantages.

While Khanh Hoa is a dynamic maritime economic center with a modern tourism infrastructure and famous bays, Lam Dong boasts a mild climate, diverse tourism ecosystems, and a leading high-tech agricultural sector in the country. The combination of sea and highlands is opening up new development opportunities for tourism, trade, and investment attraction.

Mr. Nguyen Linh Vu, Deputy Director of the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center of Lam Dong province, emphasized that in the context of regional linkages becoming an inevitable trend, no locality can develop strongly if it stands alone. Strengthening cooperation between Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa not only meets immediate requirements but also has long-term strategic significance, contributing to the formation of an effective linked economic space and maximizing the advantages of each locality.

Expectations are raised for the formation of new interconnected value chains and products.

As part of the program, the delegation from Khanh Hoa province participated in a field survey of many distinctive tourism products in Lam Dong province, such as adventure sports tourism, architectural tourism, high-end accommodation systems, golf courses, and local specialty production facilities.

The Lam Dong Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion believes that the survey activities not only help businesses from both sides better understand the potential and strengths of each locality but also create a foundation for the formation of new linked products, new value chains, and feasible cooperation projects in the future.

Representatives from the Khanh Hoa provincial delegation highly appreciated Lam Dong's development potential, especially its advantages in ecotourism, resorts, high-tech agriculture, and its rich ecosystem of distinctive products.

At the program, Mr. Luyen Manh Cuong, Deputy Director of the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center of Khanh Hoa province, said that the locality possesses nearly 500 km of coastline and more than 200 large and small islands, including Nha Trang Bay, which is known as one of the most beautiful bays in the world. Besides its strengths in marine and island tourism, Khanh Hoa also has great potential for development in the fields of marine economy, high-tech processing and manufacturing industries, logistics, renewable energy, and the digital economy.

According to data from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, in the first five months of 2026, the total number of tourists visiting the locality was estimated at over 9.2 million, an increase of 52.93% compared to the same period last year; of which international tourists reached over 3.8 million, an increase of 65.99%. Tourism revenue was estimated at 33,893 billion VND, an increase of 32.95% compared to the same period last year.

At the event, the Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Centers of the two provinces signed a memorandum of cooperation in the fields of investment, trade, tourism, and information dissemination. Simultaneously, eight memoranda of cooperation were signed between businesses from the two localities, opening up opportunities for business networking, market development, and the creation of inter-regional tourism products in the future.

Through the 2026 connectivity and cooperation program, Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa aim to maximize the complementary advantages between the coastal and highland regions, building value chains in investment, trade, and tourism. Strengthening cooperation will not only contribute to expanding the economic development space of both localities but also create new momentum for regional linkages between the South Central and Central Highlands regions in the current development phase.
