Lingard's first time in Korea

This is the first time the English midfielder has received this title since arriving in Korea in February 2024. In July, Lingard played brilliantly with 2 goals in 4 matches, was voted the best player of the match twice and received the player of the week award once.

The 32-year-old's current deal expires in November, but FC Seoul have the option to extend it by a further 12 months. However, Lingard has admitted that he is open to a return to England should the opportunity arise.

Lingard and his teammates have a lot of work to do. The capital club are currently 5th in the table, 23 points behind leaders Jeonbuk. Lingard will continue to lead the attack when FC Seoul face Ulsan this weekend, hoping to maintain their impressive form.
