For the first time, there are forces participating in the sea parade on the occasion of National Day September 2nd.

On the evening of June 19, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense held a meeting with news agencies and newspapers to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

Speaking at the meeting, General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, reviewed the history of Vietnam's revolutionary press in general and military press in particular.

General Phan Van Giang emphasized the role of the press in the cause of national liberation and building and defending the Fatherland: "For us, in war, it is guns, bullets, and destroying the enemy. As for you, comrades, with cameras, video cameras, pens, and brushes, you also volunteer to go forward... And we call this force the 'special force'".

General Phan Van Giang acknowledged and thanked the press agencies for publishing and broadcasting many news and articles reflecting the contributions of military officers and soldiers, militia and self-defense forces during their participation in training and parades at the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South, and National Reunification...

According to the Minister of National Defense, propaganda work has directly contributed to promoting, protecting and enhancing the image, prestige and position of the Army, spreading the qualities, values and fine traditions of Uncle Ho's soldiers.

The country is preparing to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2, which also marks the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

General Phan Van Giang said he will invite some friendly countries to participate in the parade. Although the number is not large, this will be a mark affirming that Vietnam is a country respected and admired by friends around the world.

Sharing more about related content, General Phan Van Giang also said that on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, for the first time, there will be forces participating in the parade at sea, including: Navy, Coast Guard, Border Guard, Fisheries Surveillance, Naval Air Force...

The Minister of National Defense hopes that through the above activities, press agencies will continue to actively propagate and convey messages to all people in the country as well as international friends about the Vietnam People's Army with its independent and autonomous foreign policy and the "four no's" defense policy to protect the Fatherland; determined to build a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern Army to protect the prosperous life of the people and the territorial integrity.
