The Ha Tinh Center for Disease Control (CDC Ha Tinh) has just organized blood testing for HIV viral load for about 460 people infected with HIV/AIDS out of a total of 551 patients being treated at the CDC Ha Tinh HIV/AIDS Clinic and Treatment Center. Viral load testing for HIV/AIDS patients is a technique implemented for the first time at CDC Ha Tinh.

Patients are tested for blood to monitor and evaluate the treatment process for HIV/AIDS patients. After the results are available, the CDC Ha Tinh HIV/AIDS Clinic and Treatment Center will notify the test results and, based on the viral load in the blood, provide the most effective treatment method for the patient.
HIV viral load testing is covered by health insurance and the AHF (American AIDS Healthcare Foundation) Project.
Dr. Nguyen Sy Long - Head of the Department of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control (CDC Ha Tinh) said: HIV viral load testing is the standard to monitor the treatment assessment process for HIV/AIDS patients to see if they are responding to ARV treatment or not, from which medical staff can take early intervention measures, reducing the risk of HIV infection, HIV transmission from mother to child... and opportunistic infections. At the same time, patients with HIV load above the suppression threshold have timely treatment regimens. This is an important part of the global HIV control strategy towards the goal of ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030. Ha Tinh sets a target of 90% of people infected with HIV knowing their status by 2026, 90% of people diagnosed with HIV have access to treatment and 95% of people on treatment have an undetectable viral load.

On August 4, 2025, the HIV/AIDS Clinic and Treatment Center - Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Ha Tinh province was granted a license by the Ha Tinh Department of Health to perform specialized HIV/AIDS examination and treatment, including 42 technical categories, including 10 techniques on emergency resuscitation and anti-poisoning; 03 techniques on internal medicine; 17 techniques on pediatrics; 02 techniques on psychiatry and 10 techniques on microbiology - parasitology.
