The stock market opened the trading session on September 5 with green dominating. The VN-Index increased by nearly 13 points after the ATO session, thereby surpassing the 1,700-point mark for the first time in history. The entire market was covered in green with more than 300 stocks increasing, more than twice the number of stocks decreasing.
At 10:55, VN-Index increased by 10.01 points (0.57%) to 1,706.3 points. In the VN30 group, there were 20 stocks increasing, 8 stocks decreasing and 2 stocks remaining unchanged.

The strong increase of VN-Index was driven by some individual bluechips such as GVR, VJC, MSN and SSI. Vingroup 's VIC shares increased by more than 1% compared to the reference price, to 128,000 VND and contributed nearly 1 point to the general index.
In the banking group, leading stocks such as VCB, CTG, VPB, MBB,SHB all traded in green with an increase range of 0.5-1%.
Green also covered the stock group with SSI increasing 1.5% to 43,000 VND; VND, HCM, VCI increased by 0.5-1.4%.
In the real estate group, PDR, DIG, CII increased by more than 3%.
Although the index has increased, cash flow has not poured into the market as massively as in previous sessions. As of 10:53, HoSE had more than 560 million shares changed hands, equivalent to about 17,000 billion VND.
