Spreading the beautiful image of Quang Ninh to international friends

Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center (Vietnam) held talks with the working delegation of Guangxi Radio and Television Station (China), April 2025.

Since 2006, Quang Ninh Radio and Television Station has connected and exchanged with Guangxi Radio and Television Station. The two sides have organized cooperative activities to produce radio programs and jointly publish the Hoa Sen special issue. Thereby, it has made an important contribution to promoting the country, people, cultural values, landscapes, potentials, strengths, and policies to attract investment in economic development, trade, and tourism of Quang Ninh and Guangxi in particular, and between Vietnam and China in general.

Along with that, the relationship between Quang Ninh Newspaper and Guangxi Daily Media Group was built since 2000 and the two sides signed a cooperation program since 2010. By April 2011, the two sides officially implemented cooperation in propaganda and news exchange. Bilateral delegation exchange and professional exchange activities were regularly implemented, thereby promptly evaluating the cooperation results and strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two sides.

Since the establishment of the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center, the cooperation between the unit and the media agencies of Guangxi has continued to be connected and enhanced through working programs, production coordination, and information exchange. In particular, the Hoa Sen special issue is a typical foreign publication, promoting the tourism culture of the two countries. Every year, the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center and Guangxi Radio and Television Station jointly produce 12 issues of the Hoa Sen special issue, using bilingual languages, widely distributed in both China and Vietnam. Every year, the two sides closely coordinate to develop a yearly propaganda plan, a plan for each issue, and each quarter in accordance with current issues and cooperation content between the two sides. The team of the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center and their Guangxi colleagues regularly exchange information and discuss each article, thereby bringing the best quality articles, ensuring the highest propaganda purpose, attracting the attention of the public of the two countries.

In addition to direct cooperation with Guangxi media agencies, the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center continues to maintain Chinese news on television, electronic newspapers (baoquangninh.vn) and the Provincial Electronic Information Portal, and Chinese fanpage on Weibo. The information posted on these platforms mainly promotes tourism, culture, local products and investment attraction policies of Quang Ninh province to international friends. Every month, the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center publishes two special topics in the 2nd and 4th weeks; sends news and articles to the Guangxi Daily Media Group to post in the "Opening" column. According to statistics from the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center, in the period 2010-2023, the Center translated and posted about 600 news and articles provided by the Guangxi Daily Media Group...

This is not only a cooperation between two press agencies, but also a bridge to promote cultural and tourism exchanges between Guangxi and Quang Ninh. In recent times, through programs to coordinate the production of news articles, special reports and exchange of reporters, the two sides have contributed to promoting the image of tourism, people and dynamic development of each locality to a large number of readers of the two countries. We hope that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to strengthen cooperation, expand propaganda content on digital platforms, exploit the strengths of multimedia communication to more effectively serve the work of promoting tourism and investment. The connection between press agencies not only brings communication benefits, but also plays a practical role in the socio-economic development of each side.

Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center and Guangxi Radio and Television Station also agreed to jointly produce 4 programs (1 hour/1 program, total duration of 4 hours/day), broadcast on QNR2 channel of Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center. The programs include: I love tourism, Cuisine and you, Taking you to travel around the world, Culture - entertainment. The total number of programs and broadcast duration in the period 2011-2023 is 19,136 programs (8,112 new programs) according to the cooperation memorandum.

Every year, the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center has also sent many working delegations to visit and work at Guangxi Radio and Television Station, Guangxi Daily Media Group (China), sent reporters to cover the China - ASEAN Fair at the invitation of Guangxi Radio and Television Station, and sent 2 translators to study and exchange professional skills at Guangxi Radio and Television Station. The Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center also welcomed 10 working delegations from Guangxi Radio and Television Station to visit and work at the Provincial Media Center, and received 1 reporter from Guangxi Radio and Television Station to exchange professional skills at the Provincial Media Center. The media exchange and cooperation between the two localities is not simply about exchanging information or promoting the potential, strengths, and images of each side, but also enhancing understanding of the people and culture of each locality and each country.

In addition, the media cooperation relationship with Gangwon Radio and Television Station (Korea) established in 2010 has been maintained and developed in depth. After the merger, the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center re-signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Gangwon Radio and Television Station and on that basis, implemented many cooperation activities between the two sides in 2019. The two sides exchanged delegations, summarized cooperation activities and implemented programs to promote the beautiful natural images and unique cultures of the two provinces and two countries.

The program production teams have made promotional reports for each side, broadcast in two localities, and have been well received and highly appreciated by the public. This is a good condition for the Center's reporters to approach, exchange, share and learn media experiences with Korean colleagues. In addition, the Center also uses international social networking platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Weibo, Tiktok, etc. to spread information quickly, easily accessible, in line with modern media trends.
