Vietnam and Japan have many similarities in traditional culture such as: culinary art of tea, calligraphy, traditional crafts... but also have differences. The workshop "Meeting Spring" is organized to understand more about those similarities and differences, at the same time spreading the traditional cultural values between the two countries Vietnam - Japan.
The event brings a unique experiential space, where the public has the opportunity to explore and experience with Vietnamese - Japanese artisans through activities such as: Performing and participating in the experience of writing Vietnamese - Japanese calligraphy under the guidance of Ms. Otake Miki - Head of Sara no Kai Association and artist Thai Tinh - President of the School of Life Club, Natural Colors; Practicing Origami paper folding - a unique traditional art of Japan under the guidance of paper folding artist Nguyen Nam Son; Experiencing and enjoying traditional Japanese tea ceremony to feel the spirit of meditation, serenity and sophistication through traditional tea ceremony under the guidance of artisan Vu Thi Huyen Trang - Vice Head of Ryoan Tea Ceremony Club, Omotesenke School.
In addition, visitors can also explore and learn about the traditional Yen Thai do paper making village through artifacts from the Hanoi Museum and Zo Project displayed at the workshop, and experience products made from do paper to see the application and creativity of cultural heritage in contemporary life.
The workshop is not only a space for experiencing creative art but also a spiritual bridge between two cultures, contributing to arousing awareness of preserving and promoting folk cultural values.
Speaking at the event, Director of the Hanoi Creative Activities Coordination Center Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa said: Through this activity, the Hanoi Creative Activities Coordination Center hopes to encourage creative community groups to participate in promoting traditional cultural values, forming creative cultural products, improving cultural and spiritual life, contributing to urban reconstruction, and promoting the image of Hanoi to international friends.
